Considering Returning but i have a few question.

Hey Guys, I played ESO in PC beta and PC launch but then sold my PC and started from scratch again on PS4 and played until June last year. I quit due to a couple things and reasons (some explained in the questions). I switched from PS4 to Xbox 3 months ago and just really miss the MMO genre, yes i know consoles isnt the platform for MMOs. But here are a few questions before i decide to return.

1. Is there any news on being able to transfer a character on platforms? I really dont want to start from scratch all over again when i have already leveled up on PC and PS4.

2. How is the lag nowadays in PVP? This is the main reason i quit, it was unplayable way too often.

3. How is leveling up to get to max Champion points compared to lets say 8 months ago? Grinding up all over again seems like a nightmare.

4. I think they added in some new PVP areas and maybe dueling but i always liked open world PVP as in Cyrodiil. Do people PVP there still or not much anymore?

5. How is the balance now? Another one of the main reasons i quit, their updates on balancing classes was probably the worst i have ever seen. Hopefully they got better with that.

6. I quit while the poison system was on PTS, by reading it, i thought it would be OP as hell. But never ever got a chance to test it. How did that system work out? Do people use poisons or just enchants?

7. On Xbox, how is the community and playerbase? Is it dead or hard to find groups?


Note: if i come back i do want to find a good close knit guild, where people actually know each other lol. My time is extremely limited but i do like to progress and take on the hard content and love pvp. Here and there i will have a couple drinks to relax when i play so dont need a guild too uptight lol. Very experience MMO player for many years on PC as well. This will be for Xbox too.

I'll answer no 7. I came back to ESO after 5-7 months, wow...loads more players everywhere. Invited to groups daily. No issues here. Really loving it now.

I can only answer number 3 as I am currently grinding CP points.
If you play a couple hours you will get about 2-3 CP a day.
Every day you get a small amount of enlightment but it gets used up fast. For example, I do the daily dungeon group finder quest and that uses up the entire enlightenment bonus which gives me one CP. Then I do some other stuff to get one or two more points.

Whats Feb 21? Tonight is the first time in a while i have pulled up anything ESO.

No platform transfers.

Depends on the number of players in a battle. Lag is fine in small encounters but anything 20+ and I hope you enjoy stuttering and unresponsive skills.

It's quite easy to get from Level 1 to 50 by just questing through your Alliance zones. Some people go all out and equip crafted gear with Training traits, sucking down bonus XP potions and going ham on grinding mobs. But when I casually played a character I leveled to 50 in around 60-ish hours. Champion Points are also pretty easy to earn, there's just a lot of them, even more when Update 13 raises the cap to 600. You can expect to earn a handful of Champion Points a day.

There's the Imperial City, and now Dueling in PvE zones, but no the majority of PvP still takes place in overland Cyrodiil, even if people are still kinda obsessed with Duels.

Balance is still controversial. Everyone can still agree that there's still some bad Balance problems, but from my point of view it's not like there's a dead class cause of it. Update 13 coming in February is supposed to be focused on Class and Skill Balances.

Poisons were only OP when it came to the ones that completely drain your resource pool, leaving you helpless in PvP.

After One Tamriel and all three Alliances were put into the same instance, not to mention all the new players, it's hard pressed to find a quiet town anymore.
