you really don't need the best gear to beat vMA in my experience. just lots of knowledge about the arena and deaths

VMA comes down mostly to practice and dps, with those two things just about any class combination can work.

That said, for getting your start in VMA, stacking max magic in place of stacking spell damage will give you the benefit of more base damage and bigger shields as a sorc. Ilambris was very strong when I used it in VMA though I haven't tested IG. Willpower is a solid jewelry set and was part of the setup that got me through my first clear on my mSorc.

Yeah that works. I run it in full impen, Spinners, willpower, ilambris and Lich and get about 1-2 deaths lol

Don't know if Karate/Judo/Jujitsu will help you in there, but it's always nice to have martial knowledge.

Infernal guardian is a lot of fun in there, but I recommend getting yourself alphagear adding and switching it for illambris on stage 2, as IG will keep hitting the wrong Zenturion on the Boss.
