Is it legal?

I'm not sure if this is alright to ask here (sorry if it isn't), but here it is:

Quick question here, I’m considering coming back to the game which I originally bought. The thing is that I played on te NA server for several thousand hours and one of the reasons I quit, was because I’m from EU and activity was really low when I was online during the day (which made me spend a lot of sleepless nights just to join with bigger groups for trial runs and good pvp) and eventually it wasn't fun anymore. So I really don’t want to get back on NA again, but unfortunately all my game hours are on that server.

So since, if I’m right, there is no way of transferring from NA to EU, I would have to start all over again and I really don’t want to do that again. I really don’t, because it will take hundreds of hours just to get back up there and I'd have to start from zero CP. I don’t have a lot of time anymore as I had back then and I’d like to enjoy the more competitive pvp and pve again.

So my question is, is it permitted to take over someone’s account? Or is that against the rules? Or do I have any other options?

Thank you very much and sorry if inapropriate,

I was afraid so. I wouldn't be sharing ofcourse, but I suppose it falls under that same category.

Bummer, I really would've loved to come back, but under these circumstances it's just not doable for me.

It is against the rules. I would 100% advise on just flipping your account to the EU side and starting over.

In one game I used to play a trusted guild mate gave me his account when they quit. I never used it. One day he logged back in and started telling the server I stole all his gear. Told the admin that his account was hacked. It turned out he "gave" his account to at least 3 of us, telling us all he was never coming back. Only one of the three entered the account, and he did take the items to user for himself. That player got banned for "hacking".

Because of this I trust no one when it comes to their account. Account sharing is against rules for a reason.

That said a few people have gotten away with it here. If you chose to do so it is at your own risk.

We have a lot of Australians, retirees, night workers etc in the game. Anytime I take a day off, I am surprised at the number of people playing at what would be European Prime Time in the US. True, not as many as during our evenings, but more than you would think.

I have also see some guilds advertise for daytime players in the US, so I think you can find people to play with most times of the day.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

What an *******. Shouldn't his account have been banned also considering he gave permission to 3 people to use his account? I would have submitted that to ZoS and got his account banned also.

Account transfer, sale or sharing is against the terms of service. Just ask @Sypher .

Yeah, I really don't want to do anything that is not allowed. Just felt like asking anyway because if I could, it would be great news for me, but now I have to start all over again and I don't think I'll do that. That's the thing holding me back.

I've played the storylines multiple times which I really didn't enjoy eventually. All the skill points again, all crafting, lorebook hunting, dungeon grinding, ap grinding, getting good gear and above all the CP grind again. I know this game really well, and I did really enjoy the game (under the right circumstances), but like this it isn't enjoyable, for me at least. Then I think I better go play another game, though it's still a bummer I think. Had really great moments is this game.

    Thanks

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye on the guild if something passes. But I don't think these guilds will populate the pvp campaigns a lot, plus even with the guilds, it would still be hard to fill a group for trial runs.

But I'm sure gonna check it out, who knows. Thanks.
