Question about possible build for DPS NB, could use help with some other theory crafters ect.

Spell Crit goal would be 50%

The goal would be to Max out Weapon Damage which is about 5k, Use the Pelinals Aptiude to raise your spell damage to the same level as a stamina user. Wouldnt this raise spell power high enough to do the same amount of damage as a stamina build?

problem is it's just your damage that goes over, not your crit
that set is more for a hybrid build with a full damage set

I seriously doubt it. Are you trying to do damage with magic skills? Julianos is going to give you they same spell damage as hundings gives weapon damage. Pelinals doesnt give any damage whatsover, it just brings your lower damage number up to the higher one. No way in heck you are getting anything to 5k damage with those two sets.

There are much better ways to get your spell power up. Also, your spell crit will be garbage, and why in the heck would you use medium armor if trying to deal damage as a magic toon? The weapon damage buff even if converted is not going to get you anywhere near 5k. None of this really makes sense IMO. Finally, a NB might back bar swords, but front bar should definitely be a staff.

I like the out of the box thinking, but I think there are much cleaner ways to accomplish what you are trying to do. People keep trying to make that set work. There might be some niche pvp builds that would pull it off, but for a straight damage build, that set is beyond terrible.

Are you trying to DPS in PVE? Dont over think it. You want Burning Spell Weave and Aether or Moondancer jewelry. As for a monster set on a NB, grothdar if up close, skoria if at range. Sharp weapons, preferably Aether or Moondancer and a back bar VMA inferno.

use this as you backbone
there all small personalized tweaks you can make to bump your dps a bit but this will be the core

I have been using rattle cage because the spell power over all is better off then the 5%, i also wanted destro mastry because you gain 400 spell damage from the set over all or about that. Seems like a better bit would put my spell power right at 3k unbuffed give or take. I have also thought about burning spell weave as well. but it only has a 66% up time basicly not sure if as a total its worth it

Destruction mastery is underwhelming, it gives less damage than Julianos and less magicka than necropotence, you might be better off running the shades build with necropotence. Burning spellweave is the best magicka Damage set at the moment.

If you want to max out max magicka, go with five necropotence, 3 elegance and two monster set pieces with max magicka in medium & heavy plus master weapons. This way you get literally only max magicka bonuses then choose the mage stone and you should get a crazy high amount of max magicka and insane Shields. Works best on a sorc with bound aegis and inner light or a nightblade with the siphoning passive.
