Bethesda/ESO Launcher stuck on loading

TL:DR When starting the launcher, it will get stuck on "Loading..." (http://i.imgur.com/abuZiEH.jpg) and nothing will happen no matter how long i wait.
However, i tried a second harddrive that has no network drivers, booted that, and the exact same thing happened there. So that got me thinking. I went to my other PC where the launcher works completely fine and disabled the LAN adapter. And guess what, suddenly the launcher gets stuck on "loading..." there too, so i assume the issue is somewhere related to my internet on this current PC only.
I need to fix this, i am completely unable to play the game as i can not download it.

Spend 5 Hours googling and reinstalling the launcher, removed the vcredist installations like a 100 times, tried DNS flushing, port forwarding, disabled any kind of antivirus/firewall/you name it, restarted the PC countless times, switched harddrives, basically everything google would throw at me.
I also did "Automatic configuration Script and Proxy Server are disabled in your Internet options." No proxy. Not Firewall. Not antivirus currently running.

What i have done so far
- Remove all vcredist files from 2005 to 2015, both x64 and x86
- flushed DNS, tried a proxy program to rule out ISP issues. The launcher works fine on a second PC right next to me.
- Made sure no proxy setups are active at the time, nothing interfering with my internet
- run different antivirus and malware tools
- disabled firewalls
- opened suggested ports
- Running the launcher from an external harddrive

If i start the launcher, it gets to "Loading..." and thats it. I can't neither download nor install the game.

All kinds of solutions from the tech support forums (obscure use of VPN programs and stuff like that) did not work.

I also tried to install the launcher on an external harddrive and run it from there.

I was able to download the game itself on a second PC, place it on my external harddrive and launch it directly from the eso64.exe, however the language is wrong and i know the next update would immediately make it impossible to play as i would have to run the launcher to patch the game. So running it from the exe is not a long-term solution

And to clarify again, i do not talk about loading screens into the game(i don't even get to download the game through the launcher), what i am talking about is the bethesda.net launcher getting stuck at "Loading".
Obviously i can not attach any infos from "game consultant".

is there any known fix for this issue that i have missed?

Try running the launcher as an administrator by right-clicking the icon and selecting that option from the menu.
Some users have reported disabling the computer's anti-virus, firewall, and web browser ad blockers has helped to work past the launcher getting stuck.
Alternatively, you can try to re-download the p.c. client and re-install it to the same folder it was already in.
Please make sure to re-enable the web protection software afterwards.
Feel free to contact Customer Support here if you are still having issues.

Done all of these things, as i said in my post above.

I was never able to solve the issue to this day. I can start the game directly through the exe (downloaded the game on a friends computer) but i am not able to get the launcher working, therefore will never be able to patch the game.

You need to boot into Safe Mode with Networking and install the launcher from there. Why support still doesn't know about this is beyond me.

I've just moving ESO to my new PC now and having this issue... WTF Zenimax, this has been happening since 2014 this should be fixed! There is literally thousands of posts on the internet with players having this issue.

If you can't fix your launcher then just hurry up and move ESO over to the Bethesda launcher, that works SO much better!

Just wanted to chime in again about this issue. I had it back in April with W10 version1803 (April Update) was installed on my computer. Contacted Bethesda for help which led to a week of runaround nonsense. Scoured the internet for solutions. Tried them all. Nothing worked. Finally rolled back W10 to the previous version 1709 and it worked fine again. Now after a few months I thought I'd give version 1803 another chance. Guess what? Same damn problem, launcher freezes at the Loading... screen. After awhile it loaded and I was able to play. I just left the launcher running all day. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. :(

Well, in case anyone from PC support is paying attention, here's an interesting addendum to this issue:

If I start the launcher by itself, it stays frozen on the Loading... screen. Now, while it is stuck there, if I boot up my Firefox browser so that it connects to the Internet, when I look at the launcher it is now fully loaded. I've reproduced this several times and launcher will become unstuck ONLY if I boot up Firefox over the top of it. If I leave Firefox open and try the launcher, it will remain stuck. It's like it is not making a server connection a startup and needs something to prod it to connect to the Internet to finish loading.

Odd solution, but one I can live with.

I had the same issue and just found this thread. Starting Firefox on top of the launcher also worked for me!
