You will now be able to change your UserID or email address associated with your ESO account directly from the account management page. This can be found under "Edit Account Info."

I just want to make aware of the problematic, that many Bot-Accountnames are known to the GM of different trading guilds and so we are able to remove them fast from our guilds. One of us also has been working on a blacklist addon, so they can be faster removed when they rejoin or when we see them in other guilds selling.

Due to some...incompetence some Goldsellers and Bots are meanwhile active since nearly half a year - the names well known, other always make new accounts - sure.
But now they just can change their ID and rejoin and wait, wether we recognize fast enough or not?

At least ZOS has a high competence in *** some people totally off. I dont think, the more time now the Support has, because they dont need to change Account-IDs anymore, will be spent into reacting on Bot-Reports, or? I wont ask, why ZOS is trying to make our attempts to easen the work on getting rid of Farmbots and Goldsellers in trading system harder again.

Thanks.

While I welcome the chance to change my own UserId, also the chance for people to change theirs, I can't help but completely agree with this post. I know the effort you and others go to in an attempt to prevent this blight and is disappointing to say the least when ZOS doesn't seem to be doing much in the way of prevention yet alone going against a subsystem created to do their job (again least partly) for them.
