Terribly confused about CP points

Please help me…

1. If I have a level 50 character earning champion points, would I be able to spend those CP on a new alt I create?
2. What is the maximum number of CP I can earn on a character?
3. What is the maximum number of CP I can spent on one character?
4. What is the maximum number of CP points one can spent on one “leg” of the CP constellations?
5. If I have 3 level 50 characters, each with 20 CP points to spend, and I create a fourth character… can I spend all 60 CP points on the new character? Does that automatically make him CP 60 once he hits level 50?

Basically that. CP earned on any character is available to each and every character even if one never has played it. Earn 60 CP and each character has 60 CP, even if it is freshly rolled lvl 1.

Though on only earns CP when playing on a lvl 50 character.

Yes, but you won't be able to earn any more on the alt until they hit level 50.

561 on Live, but with Homestead the cap will be raised to 600.

100 in each star, so 400 in each constellation and 1200 per group.

CP accrual doesn't work the way the first part of your question suggests, but yes, once you hit level 50, you become "Champion [insert total CP here]." I have a level 13 character that, if I level him to 50, he'll become Champion 561 (or 700+, depending on what we're counting). If I create a new character today, I can spend all 561 Champion Points right out of the box.

So basically, regardless of the number of characters you have, once you hit 3600 CP earned on your account, you won't be earning any more?

So 6 char maxed out at the (Homestead) value of 600 CP spent?

Or will the value of 3600 also increase with Update 13?

Like I outlined, each constellation has 4 stars you can dump CP into, up to 100 points each, and there's 3 constellations per tree, so 4 * 100 * 3 * 3 = 3600. I'm not sure if we know if you could earn more beyond 3600 (a ZOS employee mentioned the highest CP person was around the 2700s a bit back, sorry I don't feel like hunting for the source right now) but to be able to earn CP you will never be able to spend would just be silly.

Your CP are shared among your characters, spending them on one does not remove the ability to spend them on the others. All of my characters have access to my 561+ CPs.

Is the cost of respeccing your CP points 3000 Gold? Is that a flat fee, or per point ? And will that fee only release the CP points you have allocated to that particular character you are currently playing with?

Flat fee of 3000 gold regardless of how many points you're respeccing, and it just allows you to reshuffle your current character's CP.

3600CP would take you years to earn. I've been playing regularly for a year and a half and I'm only 790ish. However since you can only spend 561CP at the moment, that is the point at which further CP earned doesn't affect anything whatsoever.

This is a good point and something I didn't realize at first. If say you want to move 10 pts out of Blessed and into Elfborn you can just move those 10 pts you do not have to redistribute them all.

Is 561 really the character limit for CP?
I think I saw some people with far more than that.

561CP is the current limit on how many you can spend, you can still keep earning more CP.

It doesn't quite work like that.

If your highest level character has 560CP then ALL your characters have 560CP.
The CP pool is not shared, between the characters, they all get the FULL pool.

At the moment only 561 CP can be spent in the Constellations.
Each character can spend 561CP.

All CP earned beyond that are stockpiled, and will become accessible to ALL characters once the CP Cap is raised. Which will happen with the next patch on Feb 6th.

Brain burning up. If I have a level 50 character, and start earning CP, I can spend those CP in his constellations, up to CP level 561. Yes?

If I now start a new character, and get to level 50... what happens now? Will he earn CP points to spend with each CP level he goes up?

All you characters will have identical number of champion points. If one of you characters has 3600 CP, then ALL your characters will also have 3600 CP to spend right from the start. They does not split between characters.

Hi let try to help as I see it.
You the player log in with character under level 50. The character levels up as you play to level 50. Can not level up higher than level 50. Any and all characters under level 50 works this way.
Now reaching level 50 you as PLAYER earn champion points as you play with a level 50 character. You learn the skills better, become better at rotation, you learn to defeat bosses more efficiently THUS YOU GET REWARDED WITH CP POINTS TO ENHANCE YOUR CHARACTER.
It does not matter which level 50 character you are logged in with, you THE PLAYER EARN CP. So if you have a character which reaches level 50 and you keep on playing and get 10 cp points and you create a new character and log in and start to play, the new character will be level 1. You as player still have the 10 cp points and can put them into the level 1 character. They will enhance the character, but the character only gain normal level up experience. When reaching level 50 , the character then stop earning level up experience and starts to gain cp points for the player and lets say you earn another 10 and thus you'll have total of 20 which can be spent in all the characters you have created.
So cp is player points to enhance your characters because you get better at game. Level 1 to 50 use the points to become stronger. level 1 to 50 earn exp to level up. Level 50 earn cp to reward player.

Yep upto 561 (now) even if you have 700 of them

If you start new character (having CP on account) you can spent all amount of CP (upto 561) as soon as char is created. When char gets to lev 50 she begins to earn CP for account.
