Are you planning to get a guild hall? Which one?

Apologies if this question has been done before.

I can't seem to make up my mind between the EP manor and Hunding's Palatial Hall (because a tower AND a beach is OP), and I'd just like to see what are some other popular choices :)

If you were asking about personal use I'd say Hunding's. It's fabulous.

For a guild though, factors like theme, alliance and practical considerations come into play. That's gonna be different for everyone. Presently I don't think any single one would work for me so I'd have to designate several large homes as guildhalls with different functions.

I've not visited it myself but I believe it's in Grahtwood.

Might be nice for pirates but it's very low brow. Paying real money for a bunch of rickety huts? No thanks. The datamined Khajiit one looks better. And they're probably sitting or working on islands with fancier architecture.

But imagine how many complaint threads it will be about the cost...

There are no guild halls being added this update.

Word of caution to guild members being asked to donate so the guild leader can purchase a home and call it a guild hall.

The home is hers/his regardless of access provided. It cannot be transferred to another player. If the guild leader leaves the game or even the guild full and complete control is lost with them. Same thing with furnishings and crafting stations. They become part of the guild leaders games. Crafting stations will be much work in the begining.

Of course, if the guild leader or another member chooses to by one themselves and provide access then that is all fine.

At only 24 members other than yourself allowed to be in a house at one time, I don't think I would consider any of them guild halls. Unless that amount has been changed?

I haven't really decided what I want from trying them on PTS yet. When they first mentioned the island, I had pictured something totally different in my mind and wanted it. The one that they made is nice, just not the home I am looking for. I will probably wait a while before actually buying a home.

Well, yes, they're not exactly guild halls as such, but the functionality exists to use them as such right now. It just depends on how much the guild trusts the guild leader, and how much the leader is committed to the guild :)

For example, for the "guild hall" that I'm planning to get for my guild, I'm thinking of including several nice furnishings as well as utility items such as crafting stations, and any other items requested by guild members. Everyone would have access to the home, and decorator privileges would be upon request.

@Runs Yes, the limit of 24 members is frustratingly low right now, but it works out quite well for smaller guilds or small guild events. Guilds can always move to different locations for larger events, no shortage of space in Tamriel!

Forsaken Stronghold. The courtyard is massive which is brilliant for the purpose I have for the guild hall.

I plan on getting earthtear cavern. It's the perfect setting for an assassins guild. I'm going to build a dueling arena as well. Multi platform getting smaller so duel becomes more intense. Going to create a nice round table for my officers and I to have a meeting. Going to create a pen for all my awesome mounts that iv spent hundreds on. A shrine for my night mother statue along with a wonder torture room Guillotine and all. Going to line the walls with dark brotherhood banner. Line the path with glowing blue candles and braziers. My main entrance with its little mini bridge corridor is going to be lined with the tormented statues. Going to build a wonderful great hall next to the lake assassin themed for ceremonies and swearing into my guild. And of course no hall is complete without its trophy room to display our guilds multiple accomplishments. My guild is an assassins/ dueling guild. We shall be making our mark in cyrodil as we target the high profile players. We shall form emp busting hit squads hunting down the emperor every time he leaves his keep. We are the Black Blade Legion!

This is what I'm doing :) Dropping 11.4 mil on the 3 manors to get the Count title, so might as well allocate one of my houses for my guild to use

Serenity falls. Everyone in guild gets decorator perms, and I'm just going to dump a ton of furnishings in the shed and see what happens. Should be a delightful mess.

While technically true, you can give guildwide permission for players to be able to visit your house and use the facilities inside. Though it is limited to 24 people

My oldest guild has been fundraising for one but we haven't decided which one yet. (People who donate vote for the one they want.) We're also trying to hammer out perks for donors.

And that's a great idea to share.

I was mostly talking to the idea that some guilds may try to get the members to donate for the purchase of a home. Most guild leaders from when the game launched are no longer leading (exception with F&F guilds). We burn out which leads to the guild losing control.

Been considering this. There are a number of problems with purchasing these things as guild halls.

    1. It will be a person not a guild that will have ownership of the house. People join/leave guilds all the time, including sometimes officers/GMs.
    2. Eso+, different crafting abilities etc means that you would have to pick an extrememly active member/GM to own the housing
    3. Same issue with permissions + adding things to the house/manor.

It basically becomes one guy loaning his house to the guild and so you could never get people to contribute towards it or have a true guild hall
