Does Sword and shield have any spammable?

I have been playing SnS for a bit but it feels a little meh and boring for solo play because all I do is apply debuff and start swinging my sword,I'm a DK and no stamina spamable,I know as a tank dps is not my job but what about solo play ? I need some spammable to keep my dps or I'm going to have a hard time,any advice? What skills do you use for solo dps as a tank? I don't get it ,make no sense,bad design maybe? Or is me.

You can have bow on backbar with endless hail.
You can use both low slash and heavy attacks as spamable, should be enough dps for solo play.

Thanks but this doesn't sounds good,I don't want to be bar swapping constantly like that,so far I'm not having problems with my dps,it's just boring,apply debuff and swing rinse and repeat.Very monotonous gameplay.

The following is for a Magic based DK, but you could probably do something similar with Stamina.

I use Burning Embers and Lava Whip for my Spam Skills. If I have a bunch of Mobs I will cycle in an Inhale. Basically I do an Inhale if there are more than one, then I hit each mob with Burning Embers, using the Gap Closer if I need to. (sorry forget the name I think its Invasion but I could be wrong). I follow up with a Whip or two as I rotate around. Sometimes I just rotate and use Burning Embers and not use the Whip.

On approach to the mobs I will use some kind of Crowd Control, like Petrify or Eruption. I know everyone loves Talons, but I can't get that one to work on a consistent basis so I don't use it. Anyway, control the mobs, wail on the ones that are not CC'd.

Puncture and Low Slash are your spammable.

Yeah dk tank in solo play is boring. Very boring. The higher lvl DK stuff is awesome but soloing a baby DK is a chore. Once your level 50 it's easy to train up a weapon skill so you can have him use a destruction staff or any other weapon skill until then. You can put your sword and shield on one bar, and switch to it right before you turn in a quest to get the quest exp so it keeps in level with your character (in case you are asked to tank before 50).

I ended up using a whole bar of his class skills (lava whip, fire breath etc) and a bar of destruction staff aoe spells to get me through his early levels. Since respec is so cheap I tried a lot of combinations. He's still my least favorite of my mains but if you hang in there the higher level skills are really fantastic.

weapon swapping is something you have to do constantly. there really isn't any way to avoid it. I hate the weapon swapping system myself, but there isn't any other way to effectively use a set of 10 slots for skills.

I know what weapons swapping is brother,my level 47 magplar destro/resto does it all the time ,I can put dps and heal people at the same time.But that I call rotation,I bar swap every 10+ seconds ,not really all the time.

I thought that DK is going to be stamina oriented class but now I see that ZOS did a great job making every class magic based,great job.Great f#*% job

I'm sorry, but every class has good magicka and stamina builds. And a lot of abilities have stamina morphs.

In general, class abilities are Magicka and weapon abilities are stamina (except staves). What's the issue?

Here's a recommendation for leveling SnB. Wield dual swords because they have way higher damage potential, but slot SnB abilities. You cannot use the abilities, so they are dead slots, but they still level the skill line.

S&B DK is a lot more fun as a tank at higher levels. I will admit when I was leveling, it sucked. S&B is not the best for solo play. If you want stam spammable'ish skills, then train into another set of weapons like dual wield or bows.

I use Puncture, Heroic Slash and whatever the green claw stam morph is for DKs (sorry, I'm not in game so I can't check).

You can morph many skills to stamina variations.

On a DK there two, count them two (2), stam morphs.

Puncture. Doesn't matter if it's a taunt, it's a low cost that deals decent damage if you're a full Stam character.

Well if you dont want to bar swap, you DPS is going to suck no matter what you do. Bar Swapping every 10 seconds or so to apply back bar DoTs is the staple of every DPS rotation I can think of.

Your spammables are going to be pierce and low slash as others have said on a S/B. If you are solo PVE, then simply dont run sword and board. If you have more points into magic, then carry a staff and run whip. If you have more points into stamina, cary daggers and bow and run a standard DPS rotation. Any tank that is worth a darn can switch to a basic DPS loadout. Even in group play, some bosses cant be taunted. A good tank will swap to DPS.

I use the leveling process to practice possible rotations as much as possible: buffs on back bar (volatile armor, rally, shuffle), attack rotation on main bar (especially practice the light attack > puncture > bash combo). Also, dragon leap is a pretty cheap ultimate, use it whenever it is ready... it is overkill for regular mobs, but its fun and has an awesome animation.

I just leveled a DK not too long ago using sword and board main with 2h back bar. For regular mob groups, I used invasion, LA + puncture, then swap to 2h for reverse slice (which is actually a decent AOE ability if you always focus the low health enemy)... throwing in a dragon leap as often as I could for flavor. Bigger enemies and bosses is where you should definitely be using your venomous claw and noxious breath abilities for the dots. I will burn through public dungeons almost as fast as when I use endless hail and steel tornado... and NOT get bored spamming the same abilities.

In case you can't tell, I really like to use the sword and board skill line... for solo play only, please don't try to DPS any dungeons.
