Just did some quest with little leaf in craglorn...she had some decent one liners and stuff and got me thinking that it would be cool to be able to get companions in game after doing quests, and they had their own sayings and stuff.

Obviously, you shouldn't be able to use them in certain situations like group dungeons/trials/PVP/etc for balance purposes. But it would definitely add a cool element to the solo pve in this game.

i have been asking for and wanting companions for a very long time, i hope we get them.

i made a thread about it a while ago.
best in slot: is the armor, weapon, clothing look, pet, or no pet, jewelry, race, class, skill choices, amount of DPS, and skin color best fit to you and the way you wish to play and makes you feel good and performs what YOU think it should be.

worst in slot: what you read in zone chat, and forum comment, and forum thread, and you tube video, and live streamer advice, and class rep advice, and guild chat advice, and whisper told you to wear, and use for skill, and dress like, and use for weapon and armor.

Nah. There are MMOs with companions, and I for one am very happy ESO isn't one of them.

But then, there are games with companions as well, games where you lead an adventuring party... and games where you play as lone hero. Elder Scrolls -always- was of the lone hero type... so there really is no justification whatsoever for ESO to get companions other then the quest-plot driven ones we sometimes have already...

(Besides, I don't think the added lag would be worth any companion-ness, nor would the added work for the developers rebalancing their whole game...)

haha didn't even think about that, but that is pretty comical.

It was just funner at the time with that quest NPC, I guess I could find a questing buddy but the PVE caters more towards soloing

Ive always thought ESO's journey was lacking, sure its much better now after Dark Brotherhood and Thief Guild, I havent tried One Tamriel but I think its much better now and Housing is coming soon. Anyway, Companions are actually very good way to improve the Journey, if they have a own story etc. I would do it, after that they shouldnt bother with Journey anymore, as there should be enough of meat already. Im not asking much something like in Fallout 4, something quite short.

I would like to add that they dont have to be Combat Companions, just some non-combat stuff, individual stories what sends you around the Tamriel. Yeah, after that I wouldnt improve Journey anymore.

Companions with Epic Stories = Win! PR/advertisement boost is quaranteed.

I was brainstorming even more, what if after zone is completed, turning white basically, companion walks to you, he can help with remaining bosses or public dungeons or dolmens, also have a own story for you to follow. I would also imagine its quite cheap to make, and definitely has PR/advertisement value too, especially IF it includes Epic Story or somekind of insight into the companion himself. Not to mention making the Journey much more funnier.

    Man, Im digging this one..

If I could have either Sheogorath or Molag Bal as companions or even pets, then why not! :D
