When it says increases shock damage does that mean it boost crystal frag for sorcs?

What falls under shock damage i want to run netches on my sorc not sure what if it would help tho .

My first instinct is to say no because the tooltip says it causesagic damage, not shock damage. Someone else may know better though.

It has to say it causes Shock Damage in its tooltip to actually cause Shock Damage and get buffed by Netch's Touch.

Crystal frags is not boosted by netch. It has to deal actual shock dmg, not magic dmg. Endless fury, streak, lightning staff, Eye of the storm etc etc.

It's not a great set. The stam equivalent is the Automaton set and people have tested this and found that the weapon damage buff applied to physical damage attacks is not affected by major brutality. I can only then assume that the spell damage buff applied to shock damage from netches touch isn't affected by major sorcery. I haven't tested this though. In theory it would allow for some cool sorc builds in pvp. BSW *(Burning Spell Weave)* is far better for sorcs though if you want a set that boosts spell damage; it procs regularly from all fire damage, including inferno light/heavy attacks and siege, and only has about 4 secs of down time between procs.

You're looking at most of Storm Calling, the Storm Atronach you can summon, Lightning Staves, and weapons enchanted with a Glyph of Shock. I think that's about it.

Always wondered about a build with this... a pure lightning mage.

There's actually quite a lot of stuff now that would work with it, (especially with the new lightning staff passive changes in update 13 boosting lightning staff aoe damage) :

Liquid Lightning
Elemental Blockade (of storms)
Mages wrath
Lightning staff light/heavy attacks
Boundless storm
Destro Ulti
Destructive reach

And with most of them being dots they would also triple dip in the CP trees... elemental expert, elfborn, & Thaumaturge, as well as potentially proccing a hell of a lot of execute phase via disintegration (Only really applicable on longer fights though really).

May not be BiS ... but could be fun

Haha, I run it, no pets and it can be dirty as hell when combined with spider cultist and and the right cp setup. I can finally clear VMA in about 2 hours now.

I Have a lIghtning mage with the above skills (Only difference is I use force pulse with light attacks in between as my lightning staff has increase spell damage). I have also been using Netches touch/julianos/Ilambris since the sets dropped and I can tell you that mobs and bosses melt away very fast.

Thinking of swapping julianos/ Ilambris for Spider Cultist/ 1xKena since the next update is going to make critt useless and Lightning stronger so I might aswell push as much spell damage as possisble.
