Now I've been farming the draugr hulk set for awhile now, have all the pieces I need except the amulet which just will not drop... even after about 70 runs easy.

I've even started running it on normal so I can solo it quickly (literally just run straight to Drodda on my NB) and it still won't drop!

Like cmon ZOS how many times do I need to go to this god forsaken dungeon, I have like 7 rings and not 1 amulet! Im even settling for blue quality now running it on normal but RNGeeses hates me.

Ur doing it wrong.

Ur chances are greater with 4 vs one.

By doing it solo 70 times you missed out on 210 chances for it to drop.

im on xbox and i was farming it for weeks in groups of 4 and it never ever dropped. Still the only thing im missing!

How do you solo it? I thought there was a part that required another player to stand on a pedestal to open a door.

The necklace does indeed drop. It's just luck.

If he's farming the necklace, you only need to fight the last boss Drodda.
You can skip everything else in there.

Ive done it maybe 6 times and have all the impen pieces i need minus chest and 1 neck and 3 rings.

That's true, but I learnt you can use magnum shot to bypass that part and simply just run through the whole thing in stealth.

Well that's only if the other group members don't want the piece themselves, which is rarely the case as they need it themselves... I've done it like 50 times on vet seen 2 people get the necklace but they needed it.

I feel your pain.

I've a friend and we've been in Vaults of Madness, a lot looking for a Lightning Staff. We at least trio it, and mostly quartet it. We have a laugh though and generally enjoy ourselves so we don't mind that much if it doesn't drop, and we work on other achievements too whilst in there whenever we have someone that has some to fulfill yet. But we understand your pain.

As others have said though; do try and do it with a group, you increase your chances a lot. It might be slower, but even the four time the chance of a drop counter balances that. And don't forget about chests and the rare random drop of a set piece from non-boss mobs. At the end of the day you're probably best off doing the entire dungeon with a full group and looking for chests etc.

ok...what??? how the **** do you bypass the pressure plate with Magnum Shot...that just sounds like evil magic to me (or evil stamina in the case of Magnum Shot)?

How? Serious question because don't you need one extra person for the pressure plates?

With magnum shots the pressure plates are not an issue, just literally have your back to the gate and magnum shot one of the mobs, you'll go straight through it. Then I just simply run past everything and straight to drodda.

Yeah I posted on their, that's how I found out. I still haven't gotten this *** amulet though

Just an update. Someone posted on the other thread that you can simply pull the lever on the "exit" gate before the room with the pressure plates.

I just tested this and it can still be done. So no need for a bow trick, just pull the lever, work your way backwards to the boss, who you can then hit through the gate and he will come through the gate (!) and you can kill him. Don't have much room to work with so this may be a bit tougher on Vet than on Normal due to the exploding Banekin you have to avoid.

edit: Ahhh, nevermind. The second lever inside the boss room needs to be flipped in order to open up the rest of the dungeon, and that one can't be reached from the other side of the gate. So Bow trick it is then.

How do you get through the door that requires people to stand on the plates to open it?

That seems like an exploit...you may not want to be using that or posting about it. God way to possible get a temp ban.

Your doing it wrong. I got lucky, got the neck, 2 rings, and 2 sharpened weapons with like 3 impen armor pieces in about 10 runs. But I ran it with 3 friends who are magicka and they basically gave me all the good stuff cuz they didn't need it.

I'm just going off of other games. Like in The Division. If you put Smart Cover up you could roll through walls. People did get banned for using this exploit. This is essentially doing the same thing. Using a skill to get through something it shouldn't.
