Yes, that's right, in Homestead I will buy one of the small homes by just selling Alkahest poison to any merchant NPC.

I got most of it from farming Ogres trying to get the Ogre Toe Ring trophy. LOL!

Several days to go yet before update is released, so who knows, I may get a medium house. ;)

PS: I also have enough gold for a mansion ( tears of joy :'(:) )

Lol you have more alkahest than I do, but I still have about 6k. Good idea, I was starting to wonder if I'd ever use it all. I can see something getting nerfed.

I farmed that collectible for about two weeks until it dropped. Then got more Alkahest from dungeons, pledges and win-to-win business. :)

I agree. I don't see the point in so much Alkahest being dropped from mobs.

Any dungeon with daedra drops a *** ton of it. One group of banekins in VoM will drop like 30. I just spent two hours farming CoAI and had like 500 in my bag,

So this comes up whilst they have update 13 in the works. They will see this and go "hrm, seems the vendors are paying a little too much, and mobs are dropping more than they should.....NERF IT!!"

It that'd be the case then the majority of people would have 100k, and that's not the case. You can farm any other mats and you'll get 10 times more money. My situation is just special since I spent weeks farming a collectible.

IE: You can farm two hours, get 500 Alkahest and sell them to a NPC for 3g each. That'd be 1500g. That's nothing for two hours of farming.

I suspect that, if everyone used poisons instead of weapons enchantments like they thought we would, the amount of solvents dropping would make sense.

But since they're completely out of touch with their own game they don't seem to realize that most people will not stop playing to farm the not especially plentiful alchemical flowers and fungi needed, and the people who do farm them sell then in stores to pvpers who don't know any better.

My solution is to have the Dark Brotherhood passive "shadowy supplier" on 7 of my characters, and choose chat dialog option (2). Option (1) is "remain-silent" and (2) grants you either 12 alchemy mats or some awful "battle" potions. That averages out to about 40 alchy mats per day just for logging in those characters. It turns out that it makes poison making fairly inexpensive, while potion making is still ludicrously expensive, as the mats like mountain flower that we actually need don't come from the DB passive nor from Hirelings.

But everyone has way more solvents than they'll ever use and strangely they seem to drop in every quality level, unlike everything else in the game nowadays.
