Enchanter surveys...and more useless junk

Seven (7) surveys...if you've done them, you know how many runestones you collect. How many kutas did I collect in those 7 surveys?
0, ZOS...Not one single kuta. Zero. Get your act together. I spent 5 hours today collecting 60 chests, (which you'll be surprised, consisted of deconstruction fuel) gathering resource surveys, and you wasted most of my time by putting trash into this stuff. And now I'm kicking myself for subscribing to plus again after getting rid of it 2 months ago.

If you want to chest farm and resource farm, you need to allocate your cp correctly. Firstly for chest farming you need the treasure hunter cp passive. It boosts simple, intermediate, and advanced chests up a loot tier, while master chests get an extra piece of equipment that randomly might be a second set piece. With treasure hunter, you'll always get a blue set piece in intermediate chests, always get a purple set piece in advanced and master chests, and might get an extra set piece in the master chest. Regarding resource gathering you need the passive that adds a 10% chance to double loot a node you're harvesting. I have confirmed it works with surveys because randomly a survey node will have double any of the other ones with that passive.

That said, save your surveys for after the update to try to get furniture mats from the nodes.

If you are doing enchanting surveys you will get your best Kuta return from the reward satchel, usually 1 Kuta every 3 or 4 writs. I currently do writs on 6 characters for the gold return and the gold improvement items in the rewards. The survey maps took a nosedive with 1T and I don't like having to travel all over the place to collect them.

The CP skills into 10% "double loot" chance works on everything you harvest, including surveys. Treasure chests are really only a source of deconstruction fodder as far as I am concerned, except for Cyrodiil chests, which I do for the alliance crafting motifs - only 4 to collect now.

I'm pretty sure you do get them from surveys. I usually just bin the enchanter surveys due to the sheer amount of runes i have, so it was months ago I did one of those surveys.

The writ reward may give a Kuta but the occasional survey that is also a writ reward does not give them.

I believe It's chance.
I've gotten Kuta from my surveys and am always happy when they appear in my writ reward box.

I did treasure hunter passive, no difference. Everyone else had the same experience, the only difference I saw in chests was I actually was getting set pieces to drop from simple chests that I found along the way, never had set pieces in those before.

You can get Kuta from surveys, doesn't happen very often though.

Yes it does. I get them from the surveys and from the writ rewards.

Since when? They've dropped from them before. I asked to see what the deal was, other people have either very, very low drops from them or none at all also.

Interesting. I have done hundreds of surveys and I don't ever recall getting one from the survey. Just the turn in.

I have had the odd Kuta from Surveys, and I do the Writs every day.

Best source for me though is random Heavy Sacks, got 5x Kuta from a single sack yesterday.

Kutas do drop from surveys. Got one today as well as 4 reporas. One time I even got 2 kuta from one survey (thanks double harvest passive)!

You definitely DO get Kuta from surveys - I've gotten two that I can remember and probably a lot more that I've forgotten.

I had that happen once - still one of the happiest days of farming I've had. Grats to you on that!

Based on the responses here, it does seem to happen, albeit extremely rarely.

You can. The odds are pretty terrible, but it's possible. I think I've gotten about 10 or 12 Kuta from surveys since the system was implemented. Maybe 20. Of course, I've also gotten 15 or 20 from heavy sacks. So... pick your poison, I guess.
