Mini-concept : Guild Achievments

Just as a thought, I think it would be awesome if we could get Guild specific Achievements for completions of content as an in-guild group, or other milestones, that would unlock more tabard customization options. Little thematic emblems or prints instead of plain colors for doing some cool stuff, completing trials on hardmode or accumulating boatloads of $$$.

great idea on paper, however it's to challenging to impelemenf. Especially since most st of us are members of multiple guilds.

Keeping track of such things, since the perk would be lost if some of those members left the guild, would not be a simple endeavor.

Hum? Doesn't have to be a constantly updated list, just something like
--> Complete Veteran Maw of Lorkhaj without suffering a team death, all players in-group must be members of the guild upon completion for credit.
Then the guild has said achievement

If members from other guilds join your guild to help, then leave after they helped you getting the more difficult achievements, will that still count as an achievment for your guild?

There are hundreds and hundreds of guilds that still can't complete vAA, vHRC and vSO, so if they pay other guilds to "join, get the achievement and leave", will that count?

If there's a way to avoid this, then it would be a good idea.

This wouldn't be a problem since it would be the guilds getting the achievements, not the players. Some of your guilds may have an achievement and some may not.

Nothing in the game is stopping people from helping farm emporership for others either. If there's a group that can complete these things that would rather have funds than let their achievements appear more exclusive than they are... well, they're trading pride for gold. :#

Yeap, and I'm against that either. :) I think it's one of the most unfair aspects of this game.

I personally wouldn't find much interest in this based on how this game works today.
I'd be open to additional skill lines that may incorporate the ideas which we've seen from TG, DB, etc upon new DLC but nothing tied to a social group in how Guilds are used. In another thread I've even thought that with housing a new line could be appropriate but it wouldn't be labeled as a guild.

Specific to the OP ideas, the category would seem to be "Social" and all the new effects would be passives. Your idea would fit there IMO

I'd rather ZOS also change guild to clan but leave the NPC Guild names as they are because it actually fits the lore. Player guilds can, but generally do not in ESO.

I think the game's use of the word Guild and our own thoughts of the word guild often miss align.

In TES, its more of the original definition - a medieval association of craftsmen or merchants, often having considerable power.

We tend to use it - an organized group of players that regularly play together in one or more multiplayer games, but is focused on a particular game.

I've always felt that tabards don't have a place in this game on our bodies but moreso as a symbol on a building.

Simple make it so wearing that guilds tabbard provides xp for the guild of that tabbard.
