New Items Available in the Crown Store – 01/12/17 (All Platforms)

ZOS_KaiSchober
Our latest Crown Store shipment is here, with two Redguard fashion masterpieces from our Tailored in Tamriel series and the adorable Desert Lynx! Find out a little more about each of these new offerings below.

“Drifting Sand” Tunic and Sash

Sar'aq of Sentinel presents a comfortable, casual linen outfit that's suitable for both town and country. This billowing tunic and breeches ensemble will "flow wherever you go," as the designer puts it. Includes a broad and colorful sash!

The “Drifting Sand” Tunic and Sash costume is now available for 500 crowns.

“Vested Interest” Banquet Garb

You'll turn heads when you walk into the banquet hall in this ensemble of shining sateen, topped by a sharply tailored jacquard vest. "Who says casual can't be stylish?" says designer Sar'aq of Sentinel. "Not I!"

The “Vested Interest” Banquet Garb costume is now available for 700 crowns.

Desert Lynx

The Desert Lynx, or caracal lynx, is native to south central Tamriel, roaming the savannahs from Corinthe in Elsweyr as far north as the West Weald in Cyrodiil. It's the totem animal of the pastoral Khajiiti tribes, and even assists with managing the herds—when it’s not being spoiled rotten for being so darned cute.

The Desert Lynx pet is now available for 700 crowns.

Get your character ready for adventures in Alik’r Desert and beyond with these latest items. If you pick any of them up, don’t forget to and share your pictures with us here or on Twitter & Instagram.

For the Developers, we would love to see in the Crown Store a costume skin to turn your daggers, or any weapon into a bladed fan to go with all these nice Alik'r themes...
    Thank you.

Lol speak for yourself I would personally rather have the atronach aura memento stay active.

"Vested Interest" banquet garb makes your torso look like an overinflated bouncy house and your calves look like pencils, while the sash has the same clipping issues as the other piratey outfits. :-(

Lynx is cute as heck though, A++ there!!

Akaviri shouldn't go on the crown store. It's one of the singular items PVPers have to make money in game, and PVP is an expensive proposition. Akaviri is fine as it is, and shouldn't be changed.

Gorgeous, which is fitting for Redgaurd fashion. :)

And that lynx is almost as cute as the snow wolf pup. Almost.
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

Except, new update is bringing more AP buyable things, so that's a crock o' crap.

EVERY OTHER MOTIF FROM THAT UPDATE HAS BEEN IN THE CROWN SHOP MONTHS AGO.

So stop with your pvp elitism already.

It's not PVP Elitism. It's the simple fact ZOS has not given PVPers much in the way of support of commerce. And no, the updates to PVP merchandise is not something that is going to benefit PVPers. They can spend all their hard earned AP to get the same Prosperous and Training gear everybody else hates with the zone bags. While the cost of other bags have gone down, unless you have Sharpened sword or Inferno Staff you're really not going to be making bank.

PVPers can burn through stacks of potions and other resources in rapid time. ZOS at least gave us the Alchemist Bags that help, but PVPers really don't have much to hold onto.

Still no reason to hold hostage a motif that has been out over a year. No excuse at all.

And THAT is pvp elitism, completely.

Nothing is being held hostage, you can buy it from other players just fine. That's like saying crafting materials not being available from PvP vendors is somehow Gathering Elitism. You can get it yourself or pay other players to get it for you, it's not a difficult thing.

Well PvPers are now the sole source of PvP-related decorations for housing. Things like Trebs/Elder Scrolls will go for a pretty penny as they are tied to AvA rank to obtain. Grand Overlords selling their Elder Scrolls on the guild store will make a decent chunk and even mid-rank AvA folks selling cold fire trebs will make a decent buck.

Akaviri motif should have been on the Crown Store months ago.

No, you misunderstand, you can't gathering crafting materials while PvPing, they are mutually exclusive actions. There may be crafting nodes in Cyrodiil, but if you're running around picking flowers then you obviously aren't PvPing. That's gathering elitism right there, I feel so attacked right now. :-p Seriously, it's not in any way different or any kind of elitism. Some rewards are exclusive to certain kinds of content, which is great because it means that people who specialize in a certain kind of play can still contribute to the in-game economy by trading their specialized items. You are free to PvP so you can earn the AP to get the motif, or you're free to trade things you've gathered while doing your own kind of content. Elitism would be if the motif wasn't tradable, but since you're free to get it on your own or buy it from other players your entire argument is nonsense.

I would be fine with then staying pvp if pvpers would actually sell them in guild traders for reasonable prices. However when all I see is akiviri chests selling for 300k gold I have an issue. Before you point me to a cheaper guild trader I am on console. I would like akiviri to be like what they are doing with dro'mathras, put in the crown store for a week then remove it. It keeps it exclusive for the most part and the crafters who aren't either stacked on gold atm or play a lot of pvp can spend their real money and grab it.
