Stamina Nightblade for PvE (PvP possibly as well)

So - since I started up this game - I am playing with my Redguard Dragonknight - stamina of course. There are several reasons for that:
1.) I prefer Redguards, I find them close to what/who I am;
2.) I prefer cold weapons, swords, daggers, bow - I always did exactly this in Elder Scrolls;
3.) I prefer to play solo, but I understand I will need to fit into large groups with the end content.

Problem I have - while I can do most of the stuff solo without any problems, seems like Dragonknight stamina PvE-wise is a bit behind with DPS. I didn't had a chance to go into veteran dungeons yet, had some minor issues in normal dungeons, but I can catch that all over the place. I am sweating my ass to kill a monster for 10-20 seconds, and then I see some silly ass mage casting 2 skills and getting it done in a matter of 2-3 seconds.

Like WTF?

While I prefer doing things on my own - I did some readings and followed up some builds, applying tricks and procedures that seemed appropriate.

Following this play style - I am thinking of starting a Nightblade Redguard - but I am pretty much concerned with the same problem. It will be easy playing through basic questing/exploration - but not sure what I can expect from Nightblade in this setup PvE-wise when it hits the endgame?

Any thoughts, suggestions, comments - please let me know.

Cheers,
Dai

    Funny.... because I feel the same. I have 450 CP and a decent armour set.... or so I want to believe. The absolute max. damage I pulled with my NB was some 16K. I usually end up jabbing 2-4k and have about 5-12k on abilities (and I thought this was good)
    When I read other people doing 40k-50k with an absolute bottom of 20k..... I feel slightly sick.

    here's your builds starting from best
    2x kraugh, 5x tbs, 3x vo/alk, 2x ma
    2x kraugh, 5x tbs, 4x vo/alk, 1x ma
    2x kraugh, 5x tbs, 5x vo/alk
    2x kraugh, 5x tbs, 5x sprig

    kraugh can be swapped for selenes/veli
    tbs can be swapped for nmg/sprig (tbs better if you have high warhorn uptime)

    weapons must be sharp
    gear must be divines

    mundas theif or shadow theif

    stam ench armor
    wd ench jewl
    wd poison dw ench, wd bow ench

    bar1
    relentless, rending, steelnade, rapid, killers, rend
    bar2
    caltrops, rearming, endless, inject, siphoning, incap

    rotation (prebuff: relentless, siphoning, caltrops)
    rearming, endless, inject, rapid, rend, rapid, rending, rapid spam till endless runs out, restart
    weave light attacks between everything
    reapply caltrops everytime it runs out
    rebuff if you need stam

    practice this and youll easily be 25k+
    (rapid with ma weps buffs next dot so we buff rending, rend, and endless with that rotation)

    Thanks dudes - much appreciated.

    @Lashiing for advices

    @Basinator for sharing the experience - it's almost the same mate.

    I will stick with the steel & close face battles, and try to pull out max whenever possible.

    Nice post.

    Questions.

    What is the alk set and where do I get it?

    Is NMG a lot better than HR? Or just a wee bit?

    Maelstrom Weps only drop from from vma right? Not ma?

    Why only stam enchant gear? Shouldn't some be health? 11kish Health isn't great even when buffed to 16-17k with food. Still get one shot by a lot of attacks in vet content.

    What middle ground should I run between stam recovery and weapon damage? I'm currently around floating 2700 wep damage and 1500 stam recovery on my stam blade and have minor issues with sustain. I know I can get my weapon damage up more but I only started playing a month and a half ago. What is the goal for wep damage and stam recovery? Siphoning Strikes keeps most of my sustain issues at bay, but more sustain is always nice. My CP is 240 btw. Not sure if I'm pretty good for where I'm at level wise, or if I need improvement.
