Sorcerer healing build revolving around Twilight Matriarch?

The title says it all.

Is there a (viable) Sorc healer build that's heavily revolving around using the Matriarch's heal and using special sets benefitting this playstyle?

It's viable if you get good at it, x5 SPC is essential for any healer though, pair it with something like x5 worm/aether. Trinimacs Valour could be useful with the pet too. You'll need to get a master resto or maybe even use sentinal of rkugamz monster set to be able to replenish stamina for allies

If you're paired with a tank who doesn't expect shards as a crutch, then Sorc can be fun to heal with. For pure unbuffed burst, the Twilight heal is stronger than a Templar's Breath of Life or Honor the Dead skill.

I run a sorc healer with Clannfear and Twilight, along with the daedroth from 2 pc. Maw of the Infernal and 5 pc. Morkuldin (animated sword). The daedroth and sword proc on my resto heavy attack and when everything is active I have my own little mini army in addition to my 3 other teammates.

It's a fun little build that I enjoy because I've healed enough to be comfortable with the mechanics of most dungeons. As long as you know the areas where your team will inevitably take a lot of damage, then you can prepare to protect/heal your team through most of those difficult areas.

I've never attempted to heal trials, though. My sorc healer build is purely for dungeons.

Before the change of vDSA, I was challenged to heal it with a sorcerer some people didnt believe I could, after we were done that told me I healed better then many templers :)

Dont know how it will pair up now with the changes to it now though :D

Sorc healers in dungeons is great if you have the skills like orbs, warhorn and such as utility buffs for the group :)

I would recommend 5 spell power cure for sure, maybe warlock/lich/juliana, until u get ia 5 piecs also

For my first bar I thought about something like this:

    http://www.eso-skillfactory.com/de/skillplaner/#f1,r8,c2,328:1,331:1,519:1,521:1,543:1,674:1;331:328:543:519:521:674;0:0:0:0:0:0;5;0,0,0;0,0,0;;0,0,0;3,3;

Not sure what I should have on my second bar yet, I'm just experimenting right now (I am leveling a new Sorc so until I get it all will take a massive amount of time). Maybe I would use Energetic Orb as well... just trying to imagine different builds right now.

It is surprisingly viable. I run 5pc SPC and 5pc necropotence, 1pc illambris, with destro and restro.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

I am curious too. I run a pet build because I do a lot of solo and I really enjoy it. Lately I have been grouping with two dps players. Neither of them heal or tank. They want me to be the healer with my Matriach and the tank with the Clannfear. I run necropotence 5 piece with resto and destro staffs. 3 piece willpower. My other pieces are random heavy. I find it difficult to keep the clannfear up and keep them healed. I am hoping the new pet health buff will help.

It worked well for me when one of my sorcs was set up for it, I had Barrier (ulti), healing springs, combat prayer (heal +buffs), healing ward along side the twilight the volatile familiar (I preferred the stun and aoe and could keep it alive with (empowered) ward and all the healing it was sucking up). Destro bar was dark conversion (free mana for you and minor prophecy buff for group on use), empowered ward (also a group buff to magicka regen), elemental blockade and the pets obviously, Destro Ult. Sometimes I'd swap the familiar out for inner light for more crits and bigger heals. Always remember the buff to healing after a heavy attack with the resto. Ran the majority of vet dungeons with it.

100 Points in blessed (cp) and I was critting over 20k twilight heals with an argonian

As a sorc I put myself down as healer and dps for dungeon finder now. I have healed on a couple vet dungeons before. All I changed compared to my full dps build is added some set peices that pump my magika recovery to around 2200.

Twilight heal is awesome and I can go hybrid dps and healer.

i am not super confident as a sorc healer though. The main worry is when the twilight is killed so have to be careful about keeping sheiks up and twilight health up.

So the Twilight's healing skill is really a thing? That's indeed pretty awesome.

It's been a thing for a while now, since DB. And sorcs can Heal just fine.

The problem is, alot of people are snobby and boot you out of pug dungeons. There is hate towards Sorc healers. Mainly as I think some DPS queue as healer to get a fast queue, and do a half job give all Sorc healers a bad name. If you do it, just commit.

A big gain is you retain good DPS if it's done right.

I heal just fine, and sets mentioned in this thread are all good. The only down side is the ease of supporting the group in other ways, mainly stamina, need to unlock a purge etc

Dont let anyone tell you that you should not heal as a sorc.

Zos gave sorcs a healing ultimate and a powerful group burst heal for a reason.

The caveat to the powerful heal is that it occupies both bars and your pet must be taken care of (an infinitely easier task come next patch) the trade off is that you have access to the strongest burst heal in the game.

Outside if stamina utility, which is absolutely positively overkill in content outside of hm trials (which surpise surprise have more than a single healer and at least 1 templar in the entire group), you are entirely comparible to the other 3 classes in the healing role.

Sorc healers are absolutely viable options. Even in 12-man veteran trial content. I'll post my Sorc healer trials build in a new thread in a day or so when i can draft it up. Granted, there are some disadvantages versus a templar, but that doesn't mean you can't effectively heal, buff, and debuff in trials or dungeons like you're supposed to.
