10 Days, 3 Tickets - Still Social Banned [Incident: 170103-003985]

What a terrible way to start the year. For the last 10 days, I haven't really been able to play my game because of my social ban.

I cannot:
  • Access guild banks from any banker
  • Access guild stores from any banker
  • Access any guild trader
  • Trade with other players
  • Send mail
  • Talk in - say, zone, group, emote, yell, and whisper chat

I've been patiently waiting every single day for my issue to be resolved and it still hasn't.

I know exactly what got me banned. My girl need to get her Enchanting from 1 to 50, so what I did was craft 150+ something Blue CP 150 Health Glyphs. Instead of trading, I put them into the guild bank consecutively. I deposited way too quickly and the system detected me for some sort of suspicious activity. Now I'm here. Waiting 10 days for a fix. Is it bad that I was just trying to help power level Enchanting?

Should I unsub in the meantime or...?

    I don't understand what's sooooo suspicious about putting 150 glyphs in a bank. Theres nothing wrong with power leveling or using the guild bank to transfer items. If it was me waiting for a fix I'd be hounding them and reminding them that I'm paying sub which I'd expect reimbursement for if it isn't resolved ASAP. Also remind them that whilst they're dallying about you're losing in game gold because you can't sell anything.

    The reason for your ban sounds weird. I've been doing the same thing with my guild bank for every single character for years. Never had any issues.

    That's what boggles me too. Depositing the glyphs in the guild bank was the very last thing I did before I got hit with this ban.

    Sounds like it might be something else. Shouldn't they clarify the reason behind a ban? It's not really fair to be punished for something without the opportunity to defend yourself. It's stupid.

    I realized I got banned because I was in Cyrodiil and none of my friends were seeing my /g messages. It wasn't until afterwards after leaving Cyrodiil that I tested all other chats that nothing was going through. Googled what was up and found out about this ban thing.

    Unless I got reported or something for spamming chat or something. Would that give them a good reason to almost make my account unplayable? I know many other people that spam on the daily, which are typically gold sellers and item linkers.

    The fact that they are leaving you in the dark about it is discusting. Keep hounding them. You can't do anything unless they tell you what's happened. Have you checked your email? They dont reply ingame.

    You have no idea if those gold sellers get banned, though. I'm assuming they have multiple accounts and as such just create a new one. It's the same as those people who sell Xbox accounts with games on them. MS ban the account and they just pop up with another the next day and are back to selling their scams on ebay.

    I can certainly see you getting reported for spamming! But it can't be that, don't worry, because when a human bans you they send a message. It's the auto-ban software that doesn't come with a reason. The fact that support isn't answering is a separate frustrating issue. There's been a lot of social bans recently from auto-mailing add-ons. Apparently something changed in the detection parameters. Do you use MailR?

    Yep always refreshing my email. The last response I received was on Thursday, and it was from a human(?). It's Tuesday now, and I was surprised I didn't get anything on Monday. zzz

    Dno. But I know that 2 other companies that I've tried to contact is behind on their tickets/messages, because of New Years. (Now those 2 are both government-owned... might be why :X)

    This is correct that replying to a ticket makes it more likely to get noticed. The age of the ticket in the queue is something that flags it. Making new tickets just clogs the queue up more and has no effect on your getting attention, as they'll get to your first one before even noticing the latter duplicates, and waste time closing them as previously dealt with.

Would you enjoy having to work on Memorial Day monday or July 4 Tuesday or thanksgiving as if they were just another day? No? Then let's not throw shade at 'government' owned companies that recognize holidays. If Zeni recognizes New Years and other holidays, and got backed up because lots of new people started playing, then the answer is not to drag everyone down into a practice of not recognizing holidays.

    In a perfect world? Sure.

    The problem is, the social ban system is designed for catching goldsellers. So, disclosing the actual trigger conditions is against ZOS's interests. It would inform the goldsellers of what specific things they could not do, and would allow them to route around those limitations.

    That said, @ZOS_GinaBruno might help. If someone does respond, it won't be for a couple hours, though.

    You misunderstood me. It's in the brackets for a reason and the :X should indicate it's not meant seriously. I like holidays. But I also know that 1 of the companies I'm talking about were closed from 22.12 to 5.1 Both the companies recognise holidays as well. Companies should take the holiday-days off. But I live in Norway, though. We don't even have our regular grocery stores open on Sunday, unless it's fulfilling very, very specific requierments.

    I believe I know why you got banned, you were trolling linking blue vma staffs in the general chat urging everyone to do normal malestrom arena saying it was dropping weapons(which I thought was funny lol) in addition to other trolly things you say in chat. Don't try to act innocent now like you don't know why this happened lol.

    What I have always told my kids was that there are two sides to every story.

    It's not that I don't believe you it's only that in order to be fair it is necessary to hear the OTHER side of the story.

    Ah. Very diff cultures. Being in parentheses seems like it was meant as a muttering, a comment made at low volume, usually in a negative tone and in a complaining manner. And the :X doesn't seem to have any joking look to it, rather someone's mouth that looks like X doesn't seem pleasant. ;-)

    I've linked Blue Maelstrom staves months ago. Anybody can link fake items. You actually think this is the cause after all this time I've been doing it?

    I don't buy gold, sell gold, buy low sell high, or scam.

    I don't have millions in my bank, only 660k. I've spent almost all my money in the past 4 months on motifs and finally learned all styles (except CS exclusive). 12th of December, 2016.

    "Trolling" or linking fake items has no correlation to my "ban". If you think this is the cause, then go ahead and believe it.
