How will the housing gold sink affect the trading economy

People are gonna be spending crowns on housing and the price of mats will actually increase.

Less gold actually leads to lower prices overall since players spend less which drives up supply and forcing merchants to lower their prices if they want to sell. The gold sinks are helping fight inflation.

I've been hunting around for basic style mats on ps4 na at less than 15g each, which is npc price. At best, I rarely find them at 2k a stack. More often than not, I see people selling for 5k a stack, which is higher than npc price. Some people out there somewhere lacking information probably buy those unknowingly.

The best ones are those people who sell those ornate items for more than the face value.

I really hope so. Quite a few motif pieces I've had my eye on.

Those naturally drop in price as time goes on but items such as Legendary level tempers will drop in price. Kuta may go up as they are used in the Target Skeletons
It's already started, alloys have dropped by like 20%

    Hahahahahha.

On console the Tempering Alloy price will be 30 to 50k each by March. Watch.

Those skeletons and high end furniture will cost hundreds of thousands.

It's great to think that less gold (because of housing) will lead to lower prices but I'm betting heavily that there will be enough people who "need" to complete all the content and "need" to get all the coolest stuff, that anything that gates the coolest stuff will go through the roof.

It's all speculative trading but I bought 17 Tempering Alloys yesterday for a reason at 250k. If I can't flip them next month for 500k plus, or turn them into something even more valuable, I'd be stunned.

Prices may go up a bit but as my OP stated the purchasing power of gold will go up as well. Overall I think the market will favor buyers more than sellers for a good couple months. That is why I'm hanging on to cash right now.
