[PC] Cannot Advance The Mad God's Bargain - No Valaste - Ebonheart Pact

I'm lvl 50+. A few quests in on the main quest chain. I am level 8 in the mages guild. Valaste is no where to be found. She is not at her quest marker in Rifton on the map. Asked for help on several forums. No one has solved this for me.

Still cannot advance the Mage Guild quest because I cannot find Valeste. I am an Ebonheart Pact Dunmer Templar. Below vid I am in Rifton dropping the quest and picking it up again in Davon's Watch. Still nothing.

The root of the problem is that for some reason your UI doesn't display quest markers on doors, check your settings.

But if you pay close attention to the map's quest icon it is a door/portal icon and indeed there is a floor hatch next to the staircase. Valaste is down there in the basement.

I walk to the basement, but quest still cannot be activated after I speak with Valaste. 2017y-03m-12d. Can NOT advance... this sux assssssssss. update after update and developers still do not fix this dam Ebonheart Pact issue.

I saw no basement but yeah I shut off quest markers didn't think I would need them. I'll turn them back on and try at it again. I'm PC-NA-EP Dunmer Templar.

the quest should be down the hatch, and then u need to take to shalinor down there

(Ima be vamp dunmer nightblade) how da heck I should get shalidor with me when I do not recieve quest starter? I enter the basement near the staircase Valaste says "Adept. Very glad to see you again. I've translated the final book, and we're ready to monkey rum butter." NOTHING HAPPENDS. NOTHING!!! Gimmie a hour I'll upload it to youtube and upload a link.

I've played few days in 32Bit Client, n now I've finished story line, I'm not sure if 64Bit Client caused it, in my case it was the problem

dunno why, but while I was playing few days in 32bit mode Shalidor talked to me and Valaste, had finished dialogue. so then I was able to end story line in 32bit mode. I guess 64bit files are not working fully as they should. I suggest to do the same uncheck 64bit client in TESO launcher/settings(gear icon)/ Run 64Bit Game Client(uncheck). I was just experimenting and it worked, afterwards just turn it on again let me know if it worked for you
