[PS4 Pro] 1080P only TV's do not show reflection in water on 1080P enhanced mode.

I have the digital version of the game, and play on a 1080P TV.

I deleted my Save data and the game.

I redownloaded the game, and thus created a new save data when launching it.

Both times the game doesn't show reflection in water.

I'm assuming this is a bug.

This guy also seems to have the identical issue I'm suffering from:

Sounds like this guy also has it:

This doesn't seem to be an issue on 4K mode, only enhanced 1080P mode.

There are no options to switch to 1080P enhanced mode on 1080P only TV's. FYI.

Same here. I have a PS4 Pro and do not see the 1080p enhanced graphics that were included as part of the One Tamriel update. I only have a 1080p screen and wasn't sure what was going on until a great post by @MasturCheef described exactly what I was experiencing.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/327807/solved-how-to-ps4-pro-graphics-bug-downgrade-on-1080p-only-displays#latest

My previous assumption was that 1080p enhanced mode would be automatically enabled when running on a PS4 Pro when connected to a 1080p screen. This does not seem to be the case.

    Hi @ZOS_GinaBruno,

I believe the issue that was fixed was water reflections were not working in 1080p enhanced mode when connected to a 4K screen. The issue myself and many others are running into is 1080p enhanced mode does not seem to be engaged when your PS4 Pro has only ever been connected to a 1080p screen.

My scenario is I replaced my original PS4 with a PS4 Pro but kept the same 1080p screen. My PS4 Pro has never been connected to a 4K screen. When connected to a 1080p screen the video options are only adjust brightness and adjust screen (size). The assumption was that 1080p mode would just be switched on automatically but that does not seem to be the case.

A workaround is described in this thread (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/327807/solved-how-to-ps4-pro-graphics-bug-downgrade-on-1080p-only-displays#latest) but the TL;DR is essentially take your PS4 Pro and hook it up to a 4K screen. When connected to the 4K screen, switch the graphics to 1080p enhanced. Disconnect your PS4 Pro and hook it back up to your 1080p screen. Apparently the enhanced mode will still be engaged.

If you do not have a 4K screen to use in this manner, it is seemingly impossible to engage 1080p enhanced mode. For me, I don't see any lighting difference or water reflections as pictured in the linked thread above.

    Thanks!

hello. Same here, i made a ticket to eso support #170324-000797. Recieved only answer about water reflections, but initially my question was about ability to choose video settings on ps4pro...

What does e 1080p enhanced mode actually do? Just show your reflection in water?

    Hi @ZOS_GinaBruno !

Sadly, this has not been solved! PS4PRO running through a 1080P monitor/TV does NOT have the "1080p enhanced" graphic options!

Where would this "1080p enhanced" option be? In game Options>Video? If so I don't have that option as well. I too am on a 1080p TV with a PS4 pro. Only have 2 options to choose from and they are Adjust Brightness and Adjust Screen.

I don't think so - and in 1080 Enhanced, combat text isn't lining up with the target - It's usually top-left of screen buried behind the group list. @ZOS_GinaBruno any update on either of these PS4 Pro issues?

Welcome to the party. None of us 1080p TV owning people do. Clearly stated at launch back in November that Enhanced 1080p support would be available. Apparently, only when connected to 4K TV. Typical ZOS logic. I think all PS4 Pro owners should keep opening tickets until they do add it. Makes no sense at all. We bought Pro models and were lured into believing ESO was going to support the Pro model. We demand the features!!!

P.S - I finally joined the forum after being a player since console launch. ZOS, you better be ready. You're gonna hear me gripe and complain; I'm coming for ya! @ZOS_GinaBruno be forewarned.

I'm in the same boat, I don't have a 4K TV, only a 1080p HDTV. I have a PS4 Pro, so I *should* be able to enjoy these upgraded visuals, but nope. There's no option in settings to turn the enhanced mode on, and I definitely don't have water reflections or the other enhancements.

I contacted support about this issue back in December and was told they'd look into it.. I really hope they get this fixed soon, a big reason I purchased a PS4 Pro was for this game.

Has this been resolved yet? Any ETA?

I'm about to buy a PS4 pro for this game..

    Hi,

this issue is still present. Still no update for it available... I had to take my PS4 to a friend with a 4K TV to activate enhanced 1080p mode. @ZOS_GinaBruno - please locate this issue and bring a fix for it!

Was really hoping the big patch we got tonight (v1.25) would include a fix for this issue, but sadly it does not.

    Sigh.

I posted this in the other thread, but I'll drop it here too. Here's what I did to get it working with no extra expense to myself.
    1. Download PC or Mac PS4 Remote Play from Sony https://remoteplay.dl.playstation.net/remoteplay/lang/en/index.html
    2. Configure PS4 Remote Play to connect to your PS4 over your network.
    3. Turn off your PS4 Pro and unplug the HDMI cable from your PlayStation to your TV or Receiver.
    4. Turn the PS4 Pro back on while still disconnected from any HDMI output.
    5. Log on to your PS4 with remote play. The PS4 Pro will default to a 4k output. This cannot even be changed in the display settings. Your Display Info should show a 4K output.
    6. Boot up ESO, log in and check that the Video settings in ESO now show "1080p Enhanced" and "4K" options.
    7. You can now plug your HDMI back in and log out of remote play. The new options for "1080p Enhanced" should remain available to you regardless of your TV's EDID info, similar to connecting a 4K display like the previous fix.

    All the best

    Any fixes for this?

I tried Dudgeon's one, but my remote play defaulted to 1080p, not 4k.
