Why not stands and display cases?

Why can we not have armor stands and display cases? I mean, these are some of the most iconic things from Skyrim and there are armor stands in the game and weapon rakcs etc...Why not implement them for our homes? Allow us to make an armory with armor and weapons. Allow us to place ornate weapons or flags on the walls. (I am pretty sure we can't do any of these things now).

Also, let us light our own fireplace/lamps etc for a more realistic feel. I really hope more options are made in the future such as baths, idols, statues, crafting stations, storage space, and class specific customizations. (Mage, warrior, hunter themed houses)

So many ideas. Please tell me it does not stop here.

    Most light sources like candles and lanterns can be extinguished.

    As for the armor stands, mannequins, etc. I genuinely believe that it was a developmental nightmare. I feel like the risk would be too great. Imagine people finding out that their all gold cr 160 BiS gear accidentally disappeared from their mannequin?

    It's taken many fixes over time for them to get the banking system right. We've had instances of item duplication, item displacement, items just disappearing, especially in the guild bank, and even gold disappearing.

    I'm not a developer, so I don't know for sure. I guess this is me giving ZOS the benefit of the doubt, because it's healthier than thinking they did it because they want to squeeze us into buying their sub for crafting bag.

    Without knowing the game code (thank god O_O) all of this could be implemented by changing the data structure of items.

    If you copy something you link in chat and paste it in a text editor you'll find the Item ID in there. If ZOS expand this structure and include the Player ID (if not there yet, my game is closed to check) and a Location ID, referring to where the item is actually stored, theoretically, the idea could be easily done.

    Let's say...

    This is a Ring of Soulshine code taken from ESOItem at UESP. the blue info is the Item ID and the purple color the item quality.

    The two black and bolded info are suggestions to illustrate my idea, both very self descriptive.

    Every item has an ID and Housing Furniture probably have as well, specially because they have X, Y and Z coords that must be stored somehow. And if it's stored, it's identifiable, so it also has an ID.

    The rest is basic database relationship ;)

    This also could be achieved by allowing you to craft armor or weapon stands by using your knowledge of a motif. Basically you could craft a mannequin that already has a set of armor in a specific motif. However you wouldn't be able mix and match motifs or use dropped sets on them.

    The game already has armor stands. You find them in merchants houses or out in questing. You find weapon racks all over the place or weapons hanging on walls. The game already has this feature. Simply implement it for housing too. That is all I am asking.
