Most Efficient Way to Level a Weapon Line?

I understand that the Training trait is key, but what methods are best?

Grinding - Dungeon Grinding - Dolmens - ???

Do Random Dungeons, Quests, and Grinding with as many weapon skills as possible on your bar makes it go really fast.

dolmens, world bosses makes good sense - whatever pays out the most xp in the shortest time...just slot an ability from that particular skill line and go to town...

kinda doing the same thing now with my destro staff so I can get and melt folks with that swell (and very fair ) eye of the flame...

Go to nMA and slot 4 skills from the skill line you wish to level, along with your spammable attack. Kill all the things and turn in quest on that bar. Use XP boosters if you'd like.

I found the dolmens in Alik'r to be the fastest rotation for any leveling.

I have found that DeShann dolmens tend to spawn quicker and have fewer people at them. Plus two of them have easily solo'able World Bosses right next to them, and the third one is next to the Public Dungeon

hey @danksta...I was wondering if slotting more skill abilitirs than just one would make a difference - so it does?

Yes. That's why I like to do nMA it's easy enough that you can do it by spamming just one skill if needed. I should've mentioned it's probably not the most efficient way but it's pretty good considering it's solo, plus some of the levels are mostly daedra so if you need to level FG you can do it at the same time.

Doing Skyreach in Craglorn would be more efficient, especially as a duo.

Yes it does. The Total XP earned is spread across every skill on the bar so more skills from a tree = more XP total for that tree.

This can be used after you have leveled your main skills to also rapidly open and level entire skill/trees on your 2nd bar.

Before New Life ended, with Breda Drink, ESO+, Ambrosia, Enlightenment, and full training gear I was putting 59K + mob kills XP across 5 skill slots of a single tree for every Dolmen clear.

On Weapon skills, Yes

You don't even have to have the weapon equip. Just put a point into any skill in that weapon line and then place that skill on a bar you're going to be completing quests or clearing dolmens with. Go to a zone where the dolmens are rotating and then join a dolmen group. Leveling weapon skills definitely takes awhile but if a person is doing it since lvl 1 it should really be automatic that at least two of the persons desired skill line be 50 when they hit 50.

the way I level a new weapon skill, is to have it on my offbar when im solo playing, and they switch to it once I turn in quests

if its a whole weapon skill line, I just put all 4 on offbar to level them fast

Yup, this! ^^^ Put your weapon skill on your main bar.. go to Alik'r desert, and hop aboard the dolmen train there. You can pretty much do all 3 dolmens in like 12 minutes?

The Alik'r dolmens spawn so fast because there are so many people, that no one has time to go kill a world boss. You're at times pressed to be able to land a hit in to a mob before it's dead at Alik'r desert dolmens..

The trick is.. you do all 3 dolmens either clockwise or counterclockwise and can do all 3 in under 12 minutes. You join a dolmen group so you can see the day's rotation of dolmen spawning and just follow the group. It's a blast to go and do the dolmens out there.

i play all sides...yeah, i find myself getting kicked from different pvp guilds from time to time - for some reason some people don't see the irony of having someone on their death recap and guild roster at the same time...when they let me , i run with good dabs & hash for AD...

during the weekdays if you're on between 7pm -12pm pst chances are good we've killed and rezzed each other once or twice before...

we have a small spot for ps4/na scourge in the campaign section...if you get the chance, stop by and say hi
