Yes, PTS patchnotes have been revealed for the upcoming housing . . . and as always a vocal few forum posters are flipping their lids over perceived nerfs/buffs that they have not tested. Some posters even decide that they are going to quit the game, but my prediction is even they will stay around, but they like to dramatize the incoming changes.

But first this:

HOUSING PRICES in game are totally reasonable!

Some houses cost less than 100k and guess what? That's totally fine for casual players or maybe even veteran players who are penny pinchers.

Also, you should expect ZOS to want to make some money off of housing. It's a business.
Personally, I'll buy all my stuff in game cause I have a few million gold to toss around. I'll make even more gold cause of the crafting I can do.

Frankly, I don't understand the attitude of established players who are complaining about the prices. They are very reasonable.

I'm sure there'll be a couple of money bags that will shell out 25.6 million gold to buy every house possible in the first day or two. I only hope they make posts and include screenshots of there real estate mogul empires.

And now to the people complaining about game changes . . . deal with it. Get organized tell ZOS your displeasure, but offer alternatives. I understand the argument that the CP power creep will be tempered using nerfs to other game elements. It doesn't matter, there will still be OP builds that do fine for any content.

Anyway, my advice is express your displeasure if you kust, but temper it with criticism that is thoughtful and not dramatic.

Well, I do not consider myself a "fanboy." I enjoy the game and care about it's direction. I've joined in on the criticism bandwagon on a bunch of issues in the hopes of letting ZOS know that the outrage over some of the game changes and creative direction are valid.

As a MMO, it ain't gunna be as easy to get all the houses as compared to a single player ES game. My main concern is that ZOS listens to the criticism and improves the game through changes that we can mostly agree on, like storage for housing etc. Oh, and wouldn't it be nice if ZOS could surprise us once in a while with an innovative feature that actually works!

-Wtf ZOS I RP soooooo much I can't actually make time to play the game so therefore I cannot afford a house

    Almost 4M for a manor.

Zos must be so happy people are saying "it should be hard to get its a prestigious manor" rather than "its 4M to drive real money sales and if it was still sub based without a real money store it would be 1M or so.."

However lets just be super cool with the fact they design the game around abusing our effort in game for profit. The longevity of the game looks on course. sarcasm.

Removed the first part as housing and blablabla junk doesn't matter.

What is the point in offering alternatives and suggestions to ZoS when they clearly don't listen and don't give a flying duck?
There are still bugs left since the launch of the game, who have been repeatedly shown by players that they still haven't fixed, because they simply don't care.
Sure this abomination of patch is all fine and dandy for casuals, questers and role players who want to play house. But for the end game community this is horrible, and no matter what we show, explain or tell them it won't change, since 98% of what is made available on the PTS is going live.

Yes, you are 100% right and I wish that they would listen to you and the other players who have taken time to investigate and reveal the issues that are still around since the beginning. To me those posts should be given top priority by ZOS. It's never a good thing to lose hardcore players who have put a lot of time and effort into a game. In fact, I am so appreciative of the hardcore players who do make valid suggestions and reveal some of the glaring defects in the game because you make the game better for all of us, casuals, middle of the road players like myself.

So to ZOS, fix your darn game and have some pride and give the hardcore players the credit, recognition, and praise they deserve for giving a crap about trying to make the game better!!!

Also, yes, ZOS has a HUGE endgame problem that they need to address.

    I agree with the post,

so here is my constructive criticism

there are regular changes made to classes, weapons and world skills this is good it brings diversity into the game, stops stagnation

re: mag sorc it feels as though every update something will change for magic sorcs. which means that every update i need to change my my play style, or change my armour.
which means i feel as though i am constantly grinding for new gear, or adapting to a new rotation
i started as a PvP healer, my shields gave me major mending and i was able to support our group against the toughtest PC transfers! (yes im console)
18 months later and she is now a DPS i have been farming for a set which may or may not be usefull come U13
i have no problem changing my armour
i have no problem changing my playstyle & adapting to changes
but it would be nice to have some restbite
to actually enjoy the gear i have spent the last howevr long working my elven socks off to require so i can enjoy the content
my sorc is supposed to be my main - she is by far my favourite character who i have invested the most time & effort in, probablly because i have to change her armour/set up so often!

where as my stam NB has been rocking the same gear & set-up for almost a year now, with only minor changes (i had to level the bow ulti for my back bar)

Can you afford a manor in game?

Great you can have a very very large house.

Can you not afford a manner in game?

Well then I'll just take the time to acquire some gold
    -or-
I don't want to spend the time to acquire gold so I will buy it on the Crown store

ZOS does not force you to buy stuff in the crown store. Also, are you part of any trade guilds? Have you looked at gear prices? How do you make money in game? Do you save your gold? I guarantee you there are players out there sitting on 25 mil + gold and they will be buying up everything. Also, you are looking at the extreme . . . do you want to own a manor house? If not then pay the less than 100k gold to get something smaller. 40 housing options . . . should be something for everyone.

Yeah the gear grind is extremely bad and frustrating, you should have to grind for Achievements and not gear. . . . it was not even this bad in WoW (sorry for the comparison).

I have 12m and the price is so offensive i might not even buy 1. I have 96% of all PVE achievements and to get the title achiv after buying all 3 manors would be 10m+ lol.. its offensive unethical design implemented to force real money transactions.

    I have BIS gear..

So like I said this was a price that was only set high to force sales... disingenuous to say any other reason... it would be far far far cheaper if the game didnt go b2p.

Like I said... I have 12m cash, 96% pve achieves and I play the game to get all the pve achivs. So this not only is a price set on purpose to mess people over but a thing which ruins completionist reason to play.

Just like the drop rate of the new ciphers this is all designed to ruin game play thus to force real money sales. As someone who has a tattoo artist drawing up a sleeve which has the morrowind symbol in it, someone who completed 100% morrowind, oblivion and Skyrim and even have a youtuber channel based on TES with thousands of subs I find it funny that EVEN I am thinking I might be done with ESO.

Not done as in quitting but done as in... Use it for video purposes but not to play at the extent to 100% pve achivs as a completionist as they keep ****ing on the ones who want to ACTUALLY play their content.

*EDIT* I will add here that I know a way to make 10m (monthly) gold before they release the patch feb, by doing 2 hours work a night in game making gold. Thus able to get all three houses and the achiv, HOWEVER its not about what I can get but what I believe is unethical game design.

On a side note before I dropped out.. I was doing a bachelor of game design with a major in lead design. I did psych classes based on how to both design addictive micro transaction games and how to slowly bleed a game that goes from sub to b2p or f2p and its obvious here what they are planning to do long run..

I love TES so much, I even love ESO. The difference is... every patch I love ESO less and less.

If you were purchase every house with gold, all 39 at launch, it would total 25,700,000 gold. With the 3 manors costly close to 12,000,000 gold alone or nearly half the cost. While not every player will be able to scrape together 4,000,000 for even one manor, there are plenty of smaller princely homes available on the market. I for one have only 2,000,000 gold spread across all of my characters...so housing has forced me to reconsider how I spend my playtime. My focus will now be on earning the additional 2,000,000 gold needed for my first manor. While I am not overly happy about this, I understand this is part of the game...and I will do what I need to in order to get what I want.

Do you mean the part of the player base that is so completely obsessed with becoming a superstar at one part of the game they completely disregard vital aspects of building a well rounded character? The same people who moan about entering PVP, or leaving PVP? The same people that cannot be bothered to join a trade guild, or farm? The same people who complain every update that they don't have the materials available to upgrade gear? The same people who complain about not being able to "1vX" because the well rounded players have caught up to them now in CP while also having millions of gold and materials available to them?

The "End Game Community" you speak of only consists of people who have been completely ignorant to building a well rounded character because of a myopic devotion to one game type.

Meanwhile, people like me, who had my butt handed to me in a sling for a solid year, are now just as good as the PC transfer types, but also have a million gold, 600+ CP, a maxed out crafter and a pile of materials to adjust to anything that comes along.

    Wait what?

Are you saying that your special snowflake "build" that you believe can tank, dps and heal are actually useful?
Sure by all means, continue with this play how you want nonsense, but don't come whining here when you get kicked in group activities over and over. Because fact is, in end game content you can't do all roles, and people who believe otherwise will continue to fill up black/ignore lists and be blocked.

And what about materials? I have around 25-30K of each (Rubedite, Silk, Leather, Wood etc) and around 500+ tempers, wax, rosin and kutas - so I can craft whatever I feel like and it won't even make a dent in my supply.
And I also have 12x characters all maxed, everything golded(legendary) out, and most of these even have 2-3 different equip sets, also all gold.
So please explain what materials I am missing?

Have fun playing house and getting kicked from groups because you can't seem to comprehend simple mechanics in the game.

I understand the argument that the CP power creep will be tempered using nerfs to other game elements. It doesn't matter, there will still be OP builds that do fine for any content.

Anyway, my advice is express your displeasure if you kust, but temper it with criticism that is thoughtful and not dramatic.

    "The End Game Community"

So nice I read it twice! w00t w00t!

The longevity of the game looks on course. sarcasm.

The whole point of a forum is to voice your opinion. Most if not all of the changes being made have been influenced by the very type of players the OP is criticising. I've not heard many people complaining about house prices or the nerfs to be honest. The general consensus is that the prices are reasonable and some of the nerfs were overdue. The biggest problem players have got so far from what I've seen Is that nerfs designed to balance PvP are going to be the same in PvE which in my opinion needs to be looked at. Theres a 50% reduction to healing in PvP so I don't understand why nerfs like the one on Radiant oppression and crits on procs cannot be isolated to PvP also.
