Weapon Traits

While I have posted some comments with knee-jerk reactions to some of the PTS patch notes, they are just that, knee jerk reactions. Obviously testing on the pts needs to be done before too much QQing about balance changes.

That said, one thing I was really hoping to see in the patch notes and did not was any balancing of weapon traits. Right now sharpened reigns supreme for dealing damage and there isn't really a close second except for maybe a few very niche builds and situations. It is never going to be possible to make all the traits viable for everyone but I was hoping that maybe ZOS would at least bring precise and nirn somewhat in line with sharpened to promote a little build diversity.

On a side note... training and prosperous still drop for end game set weapons so that's pretty neat

Frankly, the patch notes and conspicuous absence of any significant dlc for months and months leads us to wonder precisely what they've been working on.

    Everybody's favorite Gamble Crates.

But seriously, loot tables have to be dependent on character in terms of traits and weapon skills.

The housing update is more than enough to keep everybody busy for months to come, even if whales buy from crown store there will still be a lot of work for everyone.

People are going to be hyped and servers will lag, people will buy and all...

Do everyone a good turn ZOS and consider what we have said here.

Agree 100%. I posted several ideas to bring them on par, but never got a reaction or any feedback on asking whether they plan to balance them. They said in an interview recently that they want to keep the respective advantage that every trait has right now, but I hardly see diversity. Healer>precise, dd>sharpened. Only role that can use multiple traits are tanks, they can go for infused (with crusher enchant), decisive or defending.

Precise up to 15% (or 10% crit chance and 8% crit damage multiplier), nirnhoned to 33%, sharpened and defending remain the same. Powered gives healing done and significantly buffs light and heavy attack damage to make it effective in weaving builds. Charged increases chance for status effects and doubles their effectiveness and duration (this would be cool in both PvE and PvP). Decisive reduces ultimate cost in addition to the current buff to ultimate gained. Prosperous buffs gold gained and increases the item drop chance for rare items to make it useful in farming overland sets. Training remains as it is. Infused applies to poisons and thus becomes useful on dd characters on back bars and in PvP.

Not hard to implement and makes other traits a lot more interesting.
