Hello,

So i'm going to start play ESO today on PS4.-

But i have a question about DPS.

I wanna be a 2H Sword DPS.
Just like my main warrior dps in WoW.

But what armor type is best for 2H DPS?

Can i go with heavy? or is it only for Tanks?
Or should i go for Medium armor?

Cause medium is best for Stamina ??????

Hope you can help to tell me what type of armor should i use for 2H Melee DPS.

for pvp 2H is best. pve is bow on backbar and dual wield on front. this is all assuming you are stamina based of course.
for pvp stamina sorcerers and stamina dragonknights are very good this patch.

I don't know anything about WoW. Hum, well....do whatever you like till you get to CP 160, then refine things. 2H is great for PvP, not so much in PvE. Heavy armor is good for tanks. All Medium for stam DPS. Light armor for magic...until you get undaunted passives, then 5/1/1.

Choose a race that is friendly to your play style, magic or stam...it's got to be all one or the other mostly. Mixing magic and stam may work alright at low level, but highly underperform at max level.

Crafted gear is still great, regardless of what you read. Starting out it would be nice to get some full training sets to get up to speed.

Don't rush into vet content as soon as you hit CP10. It's not so much about your level as your gear quality. Don't bother making anything legendary until you're level CP160.

It takes a bit of time.

pvp or pve? unfortunately 2H is not good for pve content. it is usable just not efficient. it is however best in slot for pvp.

So heavy is going to be nerfed?
So medium maybe will take over?

I guess heavy is only for melee?
    And not ranged?

Might be nerfed but won't come into play until February , yes medium for Pve and heavy is the current meta for PvP but as the other poster said that might get nerfed ( crossing my fingers that It does )

    Thanks for the epic answer!
only have 1 question for you

so when i get this passive.:
Increase your Max Health, Stamina and Magicka by 2% per type of Armor (Heavy, Medium, Light) that you have equipped.

You always have 5/1/1 or 1/5/1 or 1/1/5?

It benefits light armor wearers the most. Medium stam build is better all 7 medium for the passives.

It takes a good while to get the undaunted passive, running lots of dungeons. While leveling, I highly recommend training gear traits on whatever armor you want to level up those skill lines as well. At Vet level, you start getting a lot more experience and leveling skill lines is much faster.

If you are indeed going the Stamina route, you will need to do some PvP to get Vigor. It is the only Stamina heal in game. Follow a Zerg around, repair keeps, do whatever you need to do to level up your assault and support skill lines. Try to group up with them so you get AP just for being there. It takes a little while also.

In the long run you will open all stam weapon skilllines and all armour. So you can start with 2H, it's good choise to begin. Anyway you get weapon swap on 15th level and can combine 2H with smth else (as fo DD - DW and\or bow). Weapon as for DPS - you'll need at least 5 medium for dmg bonus. But you still can combine with heavy going 5+2 or go in heavy based build in PvP.
