Eidetic Memory - Cyrodiil - How do I get the books in the other Alliance's bases?

Hello,

I am missing 6 Cyrodiil books for the Eidetic Memory Completition. These books are all actually located inside the other Alliances Bases.

I am and AD, and this is the situation:

DC Southern HIgh Rock Base - 2 books - "Updated instructions from Dortene" and "Information request from Emeric"
EP Southern Morrowind Gate - 1 book - "Pact Recruitment"
EP Northen Morrowind Gate - 3 books - "Conquer Cyrodiil for the Pact", "A Warning from Zimmeron" and "Chastisement from Zimmeron"

How am I suposed to read these books? - Do I have to conquer these bases? Would that even be doable? I have been lurking the net looking for information about this, but havent found an answer.

I have read that some (if not all) of these books have been reported to developers, and they'll be fixed (or not) sometime in the future, but I'd like to try to read them by any legit mean the game gives me.

Based on this I would guess it to be quite impossible to collect them, except if there is a bug/exploit that let's you enter the base. You might get in trouble for that though.

[Edit] Or wait, are they in the bases themselves or just between the gates and the bases? If it's the latter then Elladan is right, though good luck waiting for them to open :P

Dude, you have to wait for the gates to open to get inside the gates to get the books and skyshards there. The gates open by taking over the keeps in the middle and nearest the gates. You can use you home campaign or a guest campaign to find which campaign is likely to desired gates open already. The lesser populated campaigns are better for this.

You are right. Books are INSIDE the bases, behind the gates obviously - So what I feared seems to be true. Not accesible there. However,

may I ask you how did you get that list? - normal search in wiki or is there any specific page/tool?


I'll try to locate that Iron Wheel base in the meantime

The books are not in the bases they are in the temples. The temples can be reached by enemy factions if they open up the relic keeps required to unlock the gates. For example if an AD wanted the books behind the Southern Highrock Gate they would have to take and hold Glademist and Rayles. Then fight through the gate to the Temple.

So if the books are in the temples (blue), @Osteos is right with how you can get to them. But it's really not woth the hassle at all if you can get them elsewhere though there are some skyshards located in the green area! If you're also after that kind of things :P

Thanks for the graphic help. The ones I am looking for are in the red circle. I have all the other Cyrodill ones,including all the ones in the yellow area and all the IC ones.

EDIT - Btw, the Iron Wheel Headquarters (No Shira Citadel) seems to be accesible only during quests, so I cant enter to look for that book

There are a few pages you can get inside the enemy zones once the gates are opened. The ones you cannot ever get are the alliance's "Welcome to Cyrodiil" pages that are inside the zone-in bounty boards though.

The first one I looked for I found via google, the rest including the one I linked... I just used the search that is on that page to get the book id number, then copy pasted the id number over the id number of the url. Some reason google only found me the one

Going through my history here are the others....

I tried to find those books (i'm AD too) in Hews Bane but didnt find any. Are they really exist in this location?

Wow, talk about necromancy. Anyway, to answer your question, the said books are in the scroll temples in each alliance area. Get into Vivec, and wait for a scroll temple run. Get in with the others, get the skyshards and those books whilst the main fight is going on in the temple.

I have all the books from the temples inside both DC and EP and yet - there are still 4 books I cannot obtain.

Can someone help please?
