Changing Armour Appearance

One thing that I've seen brought up a few times and that I wanted to bring some more attention to was the idea of changing Armour (maybe even weapon?) appearance.

With so many amazing motifs and with surely many more to come, long time players really don't see the benefit and neither does the Crown Store. I have 3 characters maxed, atm, and a 4th alt on the way. Once the alt is at Champion Rank, I will probably grind for a set of 5, a monster mask set, and then craft 4 of something from a crafting station. To make the appearance uniform, I'll probably just craft the armour as the same style that the set gear is.

Offering an opportunity to change the style of certain armour pieces would be amazing. This would allow players to purchase new, exciting motifs in the store, use them for a bit, and benefit from many of the ingame styles that are currently under utilized. When the game first came out, I quickly grinded for all of the motifs, but as I grew in Veteran Ranks there was very little value in doing so as I was pretty much just using set armour. There are so many motifs available now that I don't have solely because it wouldn't be worth the time to craft CP 160 gear every time a new motif comes out. If I could change styles on the fly or at a station, I would unlock every one and buy some of the fun ones released in the store.

It would be awesome if a change to this system could be implemented in a similar fashion to how it's handled in DCUO. You select a piece of armour and choose a style that you've unlocked. This even allows you to basically have a Hercules-esque topless Nord barbarian, as well, by choosing "None" as the style.

This would go a long way in adding much more customization to the game. Every since the game released, me and my friends said "the customization through crafting is great, but nothing seems to match DCUO."

LOVE THIS IDEA! DCUO also has a great "housing" base system too id like to see ESO follow. If it wasn't for DCUO raising their CP or whatever their level system is called every two weeks I'd still be playing it.

Oh, ya, DCUO is in no way a good game to play anymore at all. Their free-to-play model is super bad. The housing was good, but I actually like what ESO will be doing better. More freedom, it seems.

ESO is a much better MMORPG at this point, but that doesn't mean that it's perfect. I think tons of people would really find value in a system like this.
