Consistent Crashing & Mail icon remains

Game continues to freeze then crash to dashboard. Anywhere from 5 minutes after booting it up to an hour after. Nothing seems to trigger it, just randomly freezes.
Also the mail/notification icon stays on the screen after recieving mail. It remains there for the duration of gaming session and doesn't go away.
