Hero Costumes for every race?

It's been forever, are we ever going to get more costumes?

Apparently everyone on these forums. Every last one of those costumes were demanded up and down these forums for months. And one by one they were released. And one by one they were picked apart by the very people that whined for them months before.

I like the elven hero one. Except for the the no skin thigh part they covered up. The prudes.

The basic design of those costumes had already been done, due to their inclusion in the cinematic trailers. Creating new ones for the other races would likely not be worth the trouble. Frankly the other 3 were pretty much universally panned by most players.

Also a minor note they're not in fact racial costumes in the first place. They have little to no cultural ties to the race in question. They were simply referred to by the race of the unnamed protagonist who wore them. The characters had no names as a marketing ploy so players coyld better imagine themselves as the characters.

All the merchandising limited the ESO Heroes to Nord, High Elf, and Breton. If merchandising ever expanded, I'm sure we'd see them in game. But it doesn't appear as though the first three sold remarkably well in any format.

Ironically the best argonian hero costume is already available in-game.

I liked the Nord and High Elf. The Breton was just flawed because the jacket/cloak clings to you like shrink wrap. I loved the design, not the execution. This has been a problem with the Crown Store for some time now.

The Breton hero costume was the one I looked forward to most and... it's... okay. It looks pretty terrible on women and it's colors are pretty faded out, sadly. I own all three and the one that gets the most use is, ironically, the Elven one. The Nord one is pretty meh on female characters and the rest of the game has no boob plate with style. They're all annoying to dye.

I do enjoy them, I just think there was too much hype and excitement for them. Though, now that they're gone, people seem to want them back.

Anyone who isn't subbed and can't dye them. And non-subbers can't really. Paying real money for one use dye sets they choose? No.

So no to costumes as well. I'm very colour conscious!

The Hero costumes were a total ripoff. 2k crowns for a skin that was horrendous quality in terms of detail. The plague doctor costume still stands as one of the most detailed skins there was and it cost 700 gold.
