Cat DragonKnight and what direction to go in.

ericsparrow
Hi all.

I have a Kajit Dragonknight - a lvl 27 who is the only one of my 4 characters under level 50. The rest are about 250 cp ( or there abouts ) and one of each of the other classes. I'm going to pick this one up again soon and get it to 50 but each time I do I'm hit with a wall of not knowing where to begin with it. Was originally an imperial but I changed race a day or so ago because, well I just fancied having a cat.

Other things that keep getting in the way are I don't really want to use staves cos I have 2 characters who do that already. So that makes me think i would need to do a Stam based character. I also don't really want to use light or medium armour as the main core of the armour sets as the other ones do that so I would like to have heavy as the core look. Oh everything will be crafted too - just cos I prefer doing things that way.

So it makes me think I should make something tanky ( sword and board ) but then that seems to go against the racial bonus of the Kajit which is crit based which sends me back to medium armour and crit damage.. which I have on my nightblade. Although this feels more Catty than being a tank. ( rp wise - not that I care about that per se.. but u know )

And around and around I go.

Generally speaking this would be for mooching around pve. Pvp would be limited to being caught if I was in the imperial city and not embarrassing myself ;)

ps -I'm not really looking for a specific build or anything- more with these criteria what might be the best / most interesting direction.

cheers

( and merry Christmas ;) )

I rock a khajit tank and love it. Am I the best ever. No. But I don't try to be. I just have fun and enjoy the game. I started off as DPS but I enjoy tanking far more with my character. Heavy armor is your friend there unless you get into crazy specific builds. Sword and shield is a fun way to run. Bash ability helps a ton.

Run heavy armor, sword&shield and duel wield. Be a tank.

Run bloodthrist (your spamable dps) it heals as well.

if you have high enough crafting
a medium armour set of armour master would give you the medium armour damage buffs while allowing you to be super tanky! (when the set is activated)

p.s. making your chest and legs or chest and helmet heavy, would still give you the 'look' of heavy armour

Game kinda sucks that way, you wanna be a pve badass dd? Then you go meta. Otherwise just make yourself a hundings rage in heavy, get yourself a sweet asskickin sword and go bang some ***.
