My characters don't really like wearing the weird Nord Bather's Towel. I am rather more into making my characters look bonkers.

Tonight I put it on one character and noticed while running around their right butt cheek kept being exposed. Which is fine; it's a bathing towel. But the left one isn't. Oddly asymmetrical.

I can't be the only person that's noticed this. Maybe I need to test this on a character with a little bum?

The towel is covering less on my nord than it covers on my other characters, i put this down to her exsessive muscles (she's a tank it seemed appropriate)

You can show some ass cheek but you can't show some thigh on the elven hero costume. It's *** and I like skin.

i very much love looking at it. :)
hope they keep it as is, if they do change it, then hope they make more skin visible and more butt exposed.

I'm not advocating it one way or the other. I just think it's disconcerting that it's asymmetrical. IRL can you imagine a callipygous human showing off just one side of their fundament?

Google: callipygian. adj. "of, pertaining to, or having beautiful buttocks," 1800, Latinized from Greek kallipygos, name of a statue of Aphrodite at Syracuse, from kalli-, combining form of kallos "beauty" + pyge "rump, buttocks."

Makes sense since the towel appears to be longer on the left side.

What doesn't make sense is since Khajiit and Argonians wear longer undergarments, that they're completely exposed and obvious with the costume, which would presumably be the only thing worn around the torso area. Reminds me of the shower scene in ME3 where Traynor apparently regularly bathes in her skivvies. It is, how the kids say, ruining my immersion.

you may Think it is Breaking your immersion, but, it is actually "Lore"
there is a Gang of Wild nords in skyrim called the "Foresworn" whom wear this exact clothing and it does show buttox!

Agreed! I was shocked to see long shorts of my male khajiit, when I expected to see some leg.

Oh, no, you misunderstand. The booty is in line with lore. It's the underwear showing up underneath the towel which is jarring. Because presumably while bathing you would be naked, otherwise you're just not being efficient.

My husband noticed it immediately. He assumed it was a deliberate choice and was very complimentary of the designer's attention to detail.

I've been around ESO a lot longer and am cynical enough to assume it's a bug. But he could be right.

I agree with your husband.... and I fully support the design team's artistic vision of this costume.

Yeah, it is the kind of thing my Bosmer likes to wear. My Orc would probably have a heart attack knowing she would rather wear that than the fine armor my Orc crafted her.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.
