so basically i think they're "wicked" greedy cause they need the money to for one keep game alive two add more updates or 3 needs money for the future content they're trying to do but non the less i think they should stop being very very greedy at some point before game is fully finished and uh playable rn feels like beta LOL FIX YOUR BUGS!

and the mount is literally almost 50$ over ONE mount with nothing special to it at all for 40-50 dollars that's way too much

It is greedy because they got the idea of the Elk mount from these forums. ZOS read lots of post's saying 'take my crowns', they watched as we got hyped from data mined images and they thought they could get away with charging a ridiculous amount...seriously it is a crazy amount for a mount.

It is greedy because they are exploiting their relationship with the community, getting free market research and giving little back. It is greedy because profit was put before good customer relationships at christmas.

But please argue and keep discussing this. I would like ZOS to know that even after the elk is out of the Crown store their reputation has been damaged, and their reputation was not good to start with.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

    • The Crown Store is optional and does not give any advantage over a player who decides not to spend money.
    • ESO Plus is an optional service that increases your overall experience but doesn't affect others.
    • Crowns are on sale regularly for those who wish to purchase them.
    • The game is on sale regularly for those who wish to purchase it.
    • We've received fantastic DLC at reasonable prices.
    • We receive free updates to the overall world of Tamriel making our experience better for no extra cost.

Just because selected items are expensive doesn't mean to say you need them and it doesn't mean to say ZOS are being greedy in the process, That store is what keeps ESO alive and kicking so we can all continue playing for years to come, and so that new content can be made. The way ZOS handle that store (to me) is done so incredibly well compared to many other in-game stores I've seen.

This MMO is a prime example of how to do things correctly when managing a business model.

Got to agree 100% man, I like what you say here, I guess we all start taking things for granted until someone opens your eyes to it. Happy Holidays friend.

Except for experience boosters, the items in crown store offer no advantage beside being purely cosmetic, even that you can fin disguises or earn achievement costumes better than most of the crown store one. Also the prices are still reasonable, except for some limited edition items.

This is what happens when the sub is optional, no regular stream of revenue, zos really is no where near as greedy as a EA or perfect world f2p games, but zos will only be adding more as this game makes it switch form b2p to f2p, if you have not bought the client by now I doubt you will be buying it, think about everyone that is going to play this game has or is already.

there will always be new players who join a game, the issue is game companies generally start off with a great game, that draws in players cause of how good it is, then they slowly switch to a b2p format to make most profit with least amount of work. it costs more money to create a new zone/world whatever you wanna call it then it does to create a few crown store items, but they can make as much or more off crown store items then they can off new content.
