A few updates ago @Wrobel wanted to make Bone shield a Stan shield.People argued that their no reason to do that and it would make stam Op so on and so forth but as it is Now,Stam in endgame PvE Vet trials are pretty much non existent. For a few reasons the biggest reason is that stam builds dot have options to a shield. Harness magica gives Magic build a way to survive many attacks that would Kill many Stambuilds and so trials groups don't run stam anymore Magic is just way easier.Their other reason why stam isn't ran like you have to cater your trial group gear so those stam build will do good damage. While magic don't need all those special sets to get bosses armor down.

Magicka has been dominating PvE for the most time that's true.

However, stam shields will only cause problems in PvP and help nothing at all in PvE, I say no.

How would it not help PVE its the main reason magic is better then stam right now is because their survivability without sacrificing DPS is way higher than any stambuild. Also I don't think it will imbalance PVP its easier to stack max magic compared to max stam and your better off going for more weapon damage and a comfortable stam pool.It will only be used by some builds in PVP while most won't even be bothered with it.

The answer to this issue isn't to give stam a shield, it's to stop making mechanics that can be shielded through so easily (ex. lunar slam and darkness falls in vmol, stonebreaker slam in vso, etc). Furthermore, ZOS has designed many fights in trials to contain massive amounts of unavoidable damage (especially Rakkhat), which makes Magicka a far more desirable choice. The combat team needs to design these mechanics better so at least some of them can be avoided completely.

This. Id also like stam to not require as much support to do good damage but what bisen said is spot on.

Do you remember the times they tried to gave stamina a shield and everyone was tripping balls even without testing it ? Everyone were saying ''Stamina is OP , why do you give them shield ?!'' . I went to PTS to test . A character with 30k Stamina in Cyrodiil . 3k shield . 3k . Saying again in case you didn't see . 3k . 90% of the ESO community have gone crazy for a 3k shield that costs more than 3k stamina . It was weaker than Igneous Shield aka the weakest shield in the game . Sorry but , with this community , it is most probably not going to happen .

How long have shields in trials been a thing? I always thought slotting a shield in trials was a waste of a slot and an insult to your healers. As a sorc if I was to join a competent trials group I would expect not to have to slot my ward therefore giving me room for more dps skills. I'm not sure I'm on board with the ops reasons for a stam shield. Regarding pvp stam doesn't need a shield, they take over 20% less damage from all the projectiles that miss them.
