This morning I log on in Cyro and find out EP has literally all of the map in Haderus. DC doesn't even have 2 forts and AD is doing better, even though last night we (I am a blue) had them all running..What the hell happened?

Can someone tell me what the strengths and weaknesses of the factions are? Is EP doing so good right now because all of the kids (serious question) are on break during daylight while the rest of us are working? I always hear that EP is full of casual gamers that mostly aren't "real" ESOgoers, so to speak. DC on the other hand is a lower population but they always seem to take everything. I was AD for a time until I saw the recent map shift, now it's inactive and I play DC. Much more friendly so far.

So back on track. Are those observations correct? Please don't call me captain obvious because I am still relatively new to the whole PVP scene. What are the factions downtimes and primetimes? Who eventually takes the map and goes Emp?

Hell, even a month ago AD had all of Haderus and Blackwater Blade. What on earth happened? I don't know too much about AD, apart from that fact something happened to them. DC also seems to be getting stronger. Are people abandoning the others and going DC? I'd really like to know how this whole machine works :P

What system and server are you on?

I've only played EP on XBox. 95% of the PVP players I've encountered have been adults. The EP is full of kids folklore is just a legend. I do know that at least one of the best PVP guilds is filled with people who work in the evenings so they usually ramp up around 10PM eastern.

But that's a one off case. As someone who has spent easily 1000 hours in PVP the truth is that each faction has the same demographic make up, each Zergs in equal amounts, and each believes the other two are ganging up against them.

Here is a more detailed explanation ...

Each faction has 2 or 3 guilds that dominate. Even if you don't belong to one of them, and even if you don't know who they are, these few guilds control much of Cyrodiil. That said, each generally maintains a home base campaign only leaving it when a friendly guild requests for their help. Usually this will happen right at the start of a campaign or towards the middle if it's still up for grabs. This is more noticeable in month long campaigns.

Here is an example from this summer. EP dominated Scourge for most of June and July. When the campaign flipped in August the largest yellow guild showed up out of nowhere and took furious vengeance. I mean, overwhelming numbers. In response many of the EP players moved to other campaigns and flipped those. This type of cycle is common.

Any "kids" really don't matter. They are cannon fodder for the good PVP guilds. 10 coordinated players can wipe 50 randoms easily.

What probably happened in your server was one or two EP leaders got tired of losing and planned out this assault 2 weeks ago.

If you're on PC NA, Had is just a buff server and where TF guilds go when they want to just roll over all of the weaklings and laugh. TF is where you should go for actual competition.

Consider ppl are off from work, out of college and out of school.

All things considered, there's nothing to figure out. Campaign moves with the swing of a few. In 2-3 hours 25 ppl can take a map of organized

If that's the case then my assumption is 100% accurate. I wasn't on last night or this morning but I'd wager a large sum of money that there is a guild with white and blue tabbards storming the countryside well into the night last night.

Effectively you guys dominated too much and someone called in the reinforcements. I could even tell you exactly who did it. Haha.

Side note: I love when people don't know who is actually in charge of your faction.

No such thing as buff servers anymore. Haderus on PC NA is just dominated by the overwelming EP presence. It is actually quite active in the evenings. I like to call it the working mans campaign.

The emp trade right now is ***. You got players that come over from TF, get emp, and we never see them again. It turns players off that are actually there to fight.
    Aldmeri Dominon: Glarin |Dragonknight *** Erìnwy |Sorcerer
    Ebonheart Pact: Alexandrìte |Dragonknight |Former Emperor *** Oops I Negated Again |Sorcerer |Former Emperor

Also, some guilds do map raids around 3 a.m. was a part of a guild that shot for things like that.

I am mixed on an all enemy map: Cropsford may be infested and hard to do quests but it does mean potential for small scale combat. But an all gold map means massive xp quickly... choices

It's not at all obvious to people who aren't involved. One of the things I'm always trying to explain to the "small group" pvpers aka wannabe duelers/gankers/cannonfodder

Pretty much its like this during the night the EO group was losing and getting their teeth kicked in.So they decided to go to sleep early and all wake up around 7 this morning let's say eastern time or their all on the west coast and its 4 am for them.So they all got together while the majority of the other factions who just went to sleep after a long night of holding the map finally went to sleep. The Fought all of the NPC in the keep and maybe at most 5 players during the entire time and captured everything. Its call Morning capping.Sometimes me and my buddies have stayed up to 6 am in Scrounge fall asleep I would wake up at 9-10 and their a Glow Glow guild flipping the map yellow or already flipped the map.

Can someone recommend to me one of those big guilds? Specifically for AD or DC since I have toons on both factions?
