Oh man. I've gone through like 3 progression groups. Every single group it's oh he's my buddy, can't kick him even though he blew the team up. Or oh yea my bst is 75. Go test them they get like 2 minutes. It's just the same ol same ol. Really bad players trying to half ass vet maw just for skin and then be done with it forever. How is it so hard to "go home". Seriously. Just run to your highlighted boss. That's it! But after like 3 hours, same people still screw it up! I was in a group with 7 maw skinned peoples. 4 of which kept killing team.... pathetic...

I know what you mean though.... just keep on looking for other endgame trial guilds and avoid true "progression" groups. Not sure what other advice to provide tbh.

My situation is very different from others. I never did a DPS test. People know I've soloed vWGT & vCoS and my awesome friends get me into all of the fancy endgame guilds. I also watched Alcast's vMoL boss guide vids online before running vMoL.

I earned my skin extraordinarily quickly compared to others and understand everything in vMoL almost perfectly. vMoL HM is my next goal starting tomorrow (I think I'll be fine).

I say all this because I'm probably not the best person to give advice on exactly how to get into all of the best endgame guilds. Surely by now you are already familiar with some people who are part of those guilds? If so, I would ask them to slip you into an experienced vMoL runthrough one day when possible or invite you to the guild.

Yea, I need to improve my dps time, then try out for one of those guilds. I know if they just give me a chance I can prove I can hold my own. I have a friend's, his brother is in the top leaderboard trial on xbox, after I get my dps time under 80, I'll see if he could put a word in for me. Thanks for the input, hope the hard mode goes well, that's the true test of group composition and teamwork.

I'm a huge supporter of the "first death punishment". Whoever is the first one to die during a run/kill attempt has to turn in a Kuta (or something equivalent to ~10k). Once there are 12 Kutas, everyone gets one. That way, sucking gets punished while good performance is rewarded.

Why does it work well? Because there is (almost) never an excuse to die first! No matter where you are in vMoL, you can always survive without the help of others while the other 11 people are alive.

"But what if it's someone else's fault?" No, you dying alone first out of 12 people is never someone else's fault. If someone exploded on the last boss, but the only person to die was you, you didn't have the situational awareness to move away from that person. However, if the other person wipes the whole raid and not just you, it's the other person's fault and that person should pay up. Same should count for "double curses" on the 1st boss. Irregardless of if it leads to a death or not, in case a curse receiver spreads his curse to someone else, both should be punished (1 Kuta each) because they both need to learn not to stack during curse animation.
Not enough healing received on shield phase 1st boss? Slot Harness Magicka/block.
Tank lost aggro of the 2-hander and your armor got shattered? Don't run into damage, avoid attacks, don't stand in red, block if needed.

There are many scenarios in which you can die because of bad group performance. However, there are very few scenarios in which you will die first out of 12 people without it solely being your fault or at the very least avoidable by you!

Of course this set of rules isn't perfect, so every raid group needs to adjust it to fit the progression and skill level. But you might wanna try and introduce something similar in your current raid groups.

My gamertag is my username. I've beaten twins. Have plenty of experience on rakkhat. All I have spec for harder stuff is my magblade. Like I said. My experience isn't a problem, it's finding a reliable group.
