You know those mages that sometimes appear and fight each other? You kill one and it instantly respawns. They are killing it over and over and over.

Yep. On PS4/NA I've seen this at the first (most southern) dolmen in Auridon. They stand on a canopy thingy so they're out of reach of the mobs while they have their attack button rubberbanded down.

I'm not exactly sure how those nodes work. I believe sometimes a chest will spawn instead, possibly also dark fissure/damsel in distress/merchants being mugged. It's possibe that they fixed the respawn rate then broke it again, or that someone just came along and killed the other mage. IIRC only one of them will respawn indefinitely.

Personally if I saw this I would try killing the other mage. If they keep attacking at nothing, then they are using some form of automation. If the stop and start bitching at you in zone/pm then they were just exploiting.

Seen this exact same thing on PC NA at the Dolmen by Vulkhal Guard in Auridon - standing on the canopy with bows equipped, shooting off Volley/Barrage/Hail (I don't know how to tell which morph they are using) every 8-10 seconds or so. The skill was being fired at a steady rate, always at the exact same location and was firing whether there were enemies or not. I did 3 Dolmens there, and they were there the whole time firing in the same spot, at the same rate the whole time.

Obviously botting or using some program / physical means to just keep firing constantly to rake up XP without a care for loot (as they never moved to loot bodies or the chest), all the while being unaffected by the mobs as they couldn't be reached where they were.

Yep, see this all the time at that Dolmen when doing FG dailies. The first wave is usually dead before the smoke from their spawn clears.

If you honestly typed that then you weren't here at launch. They did take a stance, fixed the problem and recently people have found a way around that fix. Now it will take a few months of data gathering like before and they will fix it again. Just like every other MMO does.

Saw them yesterday arond 23h30 est (ps4na) just between the grathwood part of the seasonal and the wayshrine to the west of it passed through them then i crashed (could'nt make it to 6 month no pve crash)

When i got back they were'nt there , so either i made the evil bot crash or im just in another phase
