in-game time of day

Is it still true that ESO does not provide information about what time it is in-game? I would like to plan out certain...um...acquisition opportunities for specific times of day and having a clock to look at would help quite a bit. I never seem to be able to tell from the sun and I swear it sometimes feels like some days are shorter than others.

Thanks! :)

Try not to assume the player is on PC.

Whether he has one or not, that's the only solution.

There is a difference between being unable to do something and saving time / being practical. But good luck with those skyshards and telling the time based on the sun.

I am actually on PC. Sorry for not specifying that earlier.
I have not used any addons yet, though, so thank you for pointing me in that direction. Looks like the addons basically set a timer based on what people think is the length of an in-game day, but they need to be synced up and can get out of sync with maintenance?

I may also look at one that shows which provisioning recipes I know. It is annoying to have to run to a cooking station every time I want to check.

As for skyshards, I actually have fun hunting them down, so I would not want an addon to mark them for me. :)

Interesting. Maybe I'll see if I can use this for a bit to tell how well it syncs with the game. Thanks!

It's definitely not fun doing it over and over again for ever character. Same goes for lorebooks. There are also addons that show duration of buffs / debuffs, what style gear belongs to and if you have researched its trait, info for how much items sell on guild stores, etc, etc.

I don't use any addon clock so I can't really help much beyond telling you they exist.

As others have said there are addons to add an in-game Tamriel time clock as well as show moon phases etc. For most players it's probably enough to be able to tell "it's dark outside" to know it's night time so ZOS probably didn't bother to add something like that.

Yeah, I guess I can see it being tedious when on your third, fourth, nth character. I'll keep it in mind for later!

Oddly, from the descriptions on the clock addons, it seems Zenimax doesn't even present data that can be used to tell the length of a day, leaving people to guess and measure it themselves. I'll see how well the clock does.

    Thanks again, all!

You can also use Mythiq.net online ESO Clock tool which shows you what time is in-game.
