DEV Appreciation

Dear Fellow Forum Users,

I want to take a moment and thank all the DEV's for everything that they do. Nothing is more exciting than getting a reply from a DEV, especially when they agree with your ideas. The have the exciting task of interacting with all of us on a daily basis, but it is not always the greatest experience for them. They have to deal with people who demand and whine about various different things. Now and always is your chance to finally thank these DEV's for putting up with all of us at our best and worst. If you would like, tag a DEV and leave a short note why you appreciate them. Thank you!

P.S. This is not the place to complain about your troubles. Please be kind and respectful in this discussion!

Ha ha if you have actually played the game since beta you would see that this game has gone from a promising project to a minimum effort cash grab. The devs rarely interact with the forums. What you have are not devs giving input just moderators looking for infractions on here. That is what all the [Z] tag on any forum thread is. We are the customer who paid for a game which is often broken. They do not put up with us we have to endure them.

Ha Ha, and you are conveniently ignoring all the work they have put into actually making the game somewhat playable ever since the abysmal situation during the Beta?
What about the playerhousing? Orsinium, Imperial city, Thieves guild, Dark brotherhood and shadows of the hist? Nothing?

I respect the men and women of ZOS. Even though I am forsaken in favor of Jules, Sypher, etc.

It is a house built on sand. They continue to build without addressing base flaws. As for all the content you listed. Player housing is a fluff resource sink with little function and all of the DLC become smaller and smaller with little cost reduction. You seem to be ignoring two dungeons for 1500c, two half zones for 2000+c when a full zone was 3000c. IC is dead due to low incentive and the current state of pvp. So like I said minimum effort cash grab. Now you say somewhat playable not beyond that so you reinforce my statement further. We endure them because we payed for a game that could be more than playable if they would dedicate the resources and time above the minimum. I used to defend the devs you can go to my earliest comments to see. I did so for a long time. But now is see the truth of it all. Even back on the beta I defended the potential of the game. I have not ignored anything. I just see the fact of the matter.

First and foremost anyone with any common sense knows this topic will bring the hate. Troll or bait post?

Second the devs rarely interact on here. The poor mods take the brunt of player frustration.

Third, while I can appreciate what the devs have done in making a great game, I will also point out that they have yet to fix basic issues within the game. Now I have no idea if they even want to fix it or if it's a directive from higher up. Orsinium was a great dlc, the other 2 meh. Housing is a gold sink, nice gesture but without storage meh.

Fourth and final, they haven't released any new content in a while. 1T wasn't content, the hallows eve nor the new life festival are content. They are in the same boat as housing, they are fluff. I still stand by the games potential, but they are going to have to fix basic issues before any more praise is handed out. Clipping, clear walls, DC on fast travel, longer than normal loading screens, crafting brought up to date over crowded servers and pvp just for a start.

I don't doubt that the devs are working hard, but we've had a game that has been steadily losing performance since Shadows of the Hist, plus they introduced a cancer virtual lottery system. On top of that, there are so many major bugs that have yet to get any attention. To name a few, vHRC has been broken for months (it literally breaks your progression of the trial if you wipe on the bottom boss if it's below 30%), vMSA has some of the worst performance of all the instances in the game and it's a freaking solo arena (invisible mechanics, teleporting enemies, the list is long), Cyrodiil is even getting worse (I know, I didn't think it was possible either) and the overworld zones are now extremely laggy because of One Tamriel (as was expected, but I haven't seen them doing anything to alleviate it in any way).

I might be bitter, but most players who have been with ESO since launch (and before) are losing their patience, since it looked like the game was on such an up since Orsinium.

I've been considering leaving the game more and more, because it's becoming incredibly frustrating, and I feel like if they only break ESO more with the next update, it'll probably be the last straw.

It's a good thing to appreciate the developers when they deserve it, which I have done in the past, but I think right now they could definitely try a lot harder, and shift all their attention away from the cursed crown store for two minutes to look at the overall game and how it's performing.
