PvP Players Emperor Talk.

I been hearing some people talk about they should have a emperor for each alliance some say they should change the way you get emperor around the inner circle anybody thoughts on emperor changes!?

    Emperor changes..... not really. It's not too bad imo.

    *PvP and Cyrodiil fixes? Absolutely.

    Emperor used to be much cooler and actually mean something back when the PvP population was like 10x bigger and you couldn't earn it just by farming with any decent group of players. A significantly larger population causes there to be numerous groups trying to get Emp as well. Earning it in those days was amazing.

    I can see why some players want the requirements for Emperorship to fundamentally change, but I don't like the thought of it. Reviving PvP is a much better solution.

    I also think its fine how it is. Only thing I would change is having the emp stand out more in the text chat and maybe even in the world. He's supposed to be leading right? Have his name a different color than the ordinary folks in the text box/world so newer players can go "hey! This guys' name is different than everyone elses! He must be important! Lets follow him / his orders!"

    Gold his name out or something.

    That's actually not a bad idea at all. A Emp should stand out more.

    Also make the "Emperor" title mandatory. Few things are dumber than seeing the Emperor walk around as a "Volunteer" to hide Emperorship during fights.

    Give them a fancier health bar, though not as elegant as seen on group dungeon bosses. Force the Emperor title on their character to help with identification, and gold out their name in text chat.

    Emperor status should not be decided by a mindless AP farm. Too easy to exploit (you know who you are). There needs to be a more robust system that requires/measures an actual, meaningful contribution to a factions success in a campaign. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that ZOS is interested in making their PVP gameplay more robust/engaging at all...

    I think The big problem with emp is. 1. Emp trading in some campaigns is ridiculously popular. At least on x1 . 2. Even as far back as launch emp farming was an issue. An issue thats hard too balance of course, but how do you give the guy that can only play for a few hours a day a chance while not rewarding the guy that plays for 15 hours a day. I give zos alot of crap for the issues the game has. I do so because I love the game and wanna see it thrive,too that end emp balancing is a difficult issue too tackle that id actually give zos some credit for. And finally I agree that pvp needs a breathe of life no pin intended lol, for emp too be a thing again. If there's no balance I pvp than emps gonna be flawed. A big starter here is too nerf one shot proc sets. I'd almost say the should just start from scratch and go with what the class system was meant too be. Templar (healer) night blade (dps) dragon night (tank) sorcerer (healer dps hybrid). Just my opinion. Dont bash me too much lol.

    Yeah I like this. I also like the idea of a map marker so that players can rally to the emporer. Maybe a gold crown?

    what we need is greater incentives for mor people to return to pvp.
    an idea for the current structure is to not only reward the emperor - but say 7 of his allies. the emperor cn name 7 KINGSGUARD or EMPORERS guard- 7 who have served him on his run to emp- make i t aminumum of hours played together or something. it would be freaking awesome- like something out of game of thrones.



    give each of them a cool uniform, a cool title, and make it so that the more of these 7 are together at once- the more buffs they get. so if 3 guard are together u get 6 percent weapon damage buff, if all 7 - u get 14 percent etc.
    imagine how cool it would be ! i mean only 1 person can be emproer- and thats not me- the time and ***- but being EMPERORS guard would be just as cool. imagine 7 badasses rolling around in a matching armour set- with emblazoned steeds.

    i think it would encourage teamwork , formation of small groups- and some competition within alliances even. instead of every man for himself- you d see people actively playing for something cool

    look at how people are running about doing stupid nonsense like dancing in inns right now! why? for motifs and recipes. people will do anything for an incentive. pvp can be fun AND have incentives

    give people that have accomplished something a feeling of that- for example players that have reached kings guard of emporer- have their names etched on a massive wall in the middle of cyrodil that people can see. like a massive memorial.
    longest serving emperors and their guard- it would create a culture- which is something that is lacking right now- culture breeds care and investment. people want to care- but they dont give us reason to.

    of course- balance is key- thats where they broke it and havent fixed it yet
    also- they need to fix the servers- the servers are book and thy havent fixed it ever

    but if they want to bring old people back- then introduce ideas like the oe above - and I'm sure there are plenty better ones- they just need to listen to the community.

    I thought about trying to push emp on trueflame. I was making about 200k a day and thought, "Okay, I think if I can keep this up for a few weeks, I may have a shot at emp!"

    Then some dude came in earning like 500k a day and my dreams died.

    The means to get the Emperor title are certainly a little contradictory. You should play solo or maybe with a partner to earn the AP, but then you need to coordinate with your faction to control the entire emp ring... Surely the problem sticks out to more than just me?

    agreed you guys have some good points the way is looking the focused more on pve then pvp and new content they should give emp like a crown for u can see him nearby like if someone takes the scroll you can see it as you get closer the emp should get some type of highlight for people can see when he coming but at the same time it is like the element of surprise

    I would make emperor wear regalia every time s/he is in Cyrodiil. Dye it as s/he like, but wear the damn thing. I mean, its the freaking emperor, why is s/he running around in nordic bath towel dyed in color of mud? Make emperor (at least by looks) great again!

    I really really like this idea, Its a bit of an issue when your fighting a player and you only just notice when you move your analog stick up that he is harder to take down than others is because hes the emperor! Perhaps the Emp should have a gold shine on his character, like when you pick up an elder scroll. This way the emp can't hide and he has to be shown up. Why would you hide with all the amount of power you have anyway? your leading your team for another victory than lead it!
