.Well it's a good problem to have if you wanna switch hats/roles honestly. But then you gotta get gear from them all.

Nightblade is perhaps the class that I enjoy the most. I really wanted to like the Sorcerer class because I loved the idea of having summons, but the summons just take up space that could be occupied by more valuable skills.

Sorcerer is my favourite class because I really like lightning magic.
Altmer is my favourite race at the moment, but it is right up there with the Bosmer.
Up until Skyrim, my favourite race was the Bosmer. I played as a Bosmer archer and I didn't want to play as anything else, ever. When I started playing as Bosmer, I didn't know much about them because I was a kid and couldn't understand English very well, which is why I don't even consider my first Morrowind playthrough to be "my first TES playthrough" because I couldn't understand what was going on, so I consider my first Oblivion playthrough as my actual introduction to TES. Anyway, I enjoyed the Bosmer because they could have antlers in Morrowind, which I liked very much, and because I liked to play as an archer. That's it.
Then, Skyrim. Oh, Skyrim... Skyrim made me SO MAD at a certain race. No, not at the Altmer like you would expect. At the Nords.
Yes, I got really, really mad at the Nords while playing Skyrim. Their sheer hypocrisy, the stupidity of it all, the "hurr durr I hate elves coz all elves are racist" as if thinking that doesn't make them racist themselves, all of that made me want to do something just to spite them.
And what could I do to spite them?
Well... How about an Altmer Dragonborn? Ohohoho, yes, that would be perfect.
Then I made my first Altmer, and for the first time I played as a mage because I wanted to be the most stereotypical Altmer ever. Out of spite. And I loved it. I loved playing as a mage.
And then I started to read about them. And I realized the modern TES were all in areas controlled by people who are historical enemies of the Altmer. And then I wanted to know more and more about this society of perfectionists full of artists and scholars. And the more I read about them the more I wanted to know. I went and did a run of Oblivion as an Altmer, and kept playing my Altmer in Skyrim.
At the point when ESO launched, I had more hours playing TES as an Altmer than I had as a Bosmer. When I was invited for the Beta, I went straight to the Dominion, thirsty for information and for another perspective. And here I am now, ten characters later, still in the Dominion.
By the way, I don't hate the Nords anymore. My Cryomancer, my baby, my sweet snowflake, is a Nord. I actually like them very much, I just really didn't like how they were presented in Skyrim.

Yup, it keeps on piling up. So much so I had to put it on my low level alt.-- But I could always use more gear!
Of all the playable races in the Elder Scrolls series, I think that the cheeky Bosmer are probably my favourite and the race I have played the most. I find their lore fascinating and I quite like the relaxed, romantic impression of them from previous games. And yet despite this, I have only just created my first proper Bosmer character. I have yet to step foot in Valenwood. I have reached the stage where I am desperate to travel there to see it for the first time see how the game designers have approached the creation of the vast forests and Bosmer architecture.
I think Orsimer are just as fascinating, again mainly because of the lore surrounding them and their clan structure. The same can be said for Nords. I don't mind the part that mead and ale plays in their culture, but I agree that Skyrim kind of spoilt things a bit. Skaal Nords were, and still are, my thing. Nods also to Khajiit (really like them in this game) and Breton (peasantry - can't stand the rest).
As for class - I kind of feel indifferent. I like some of the skills from the Earthen Heart line, but then I have had most fun playing as a Templar. I prefer my magic to be a bit more subtle though.
Ha! Yeah, I tried to ignore that part. Didn't work...Prof_Bawbag wrote:They're cannibals ffs.Nothing romantic about that.
