Everyone who has done vma has experienced something like this. It's just part of the learning process. Once you start learning from your mistakes, you'll find yourself finishing the arena with vitality and maybe even flawless eventually.

It's true man, it feels hard / intense, but focus on whats killing you, sloe it all down, unpick it. Theres a wicked thread on here with tips. I only cleared it a month ago. I'll find it and post.

What's killing you which stage? There are 3, first section, up top, 3rd section. Sigil timing is vital and understanding the mechanics up top

I beat you you it won't be anything training 45k.

Op all you have to do is DPS the stones and heal yourself while up their block the rocks the boss throw at you and when a rock wall comes up stay behind it.Keep healing because its a dot that's gets stronger the longer your up their.Keep killing the stones and blocking the Knockdown and your fine.

I recommend watching a video of your class doing it if you haven't already.

Btw once you beat it a couple times you will find that last boss is actually easier than some of the others. Well maybe more than a couple times, but it does get much easier with each subsequent run.

I completed it on my first run Thursday with probably 20 deaths. Over Half were to the Poison on the Arognian stage...then I figured it out. Was really the perfect challenge on normal. I haven't tried to vet mode yet and may wait till I can hit 160 and get a good set of gear as I can only imagine how little room for mistakes there are considering how ignoring mechanics on normal are unforgiving as it is.

I don't remember how many times I died before beating it. I do know I spent more time on the final boss than the entire rest of the arena. Probably somewhere around 4 hours or more.

Few things I learned that worked for me (stam sorc). I originally tried using defense sigil when the boss ports the first time. I found this detrimental later once I was able to get to the 3rd phase so I stopped doing it.

I also used to drop down from the upper level because the DOT of damage was getting too high and someone suggested that. This pretty much meant 100% failure because the crematorial guard + lich crystals meant death.

Here's what worked best for me. Damage the boss, when he ports bash him. If he puts red ring on his feet back away (don't dodge roll...it doesn't work 90% of the time), then focuse the Daedroth (ignore the healer). If your lucky and the boss and daedroth are next to each other, dawnbreaker hits both and usually is enough to push the boss under 70% so he ports up.

Up top, go to the crystal to the left, apply some dots (I start with trap beast, and add arrow barage, poison injection, and bloodcraze). You only have about 5 seconds before he shoots his first skull so dodge (or block that). Watch the boss so you can time it. Hopefully you can break that crystal by the time the shield is up, or be close to it. Then follow the shield and stay behind it. Then start on the next crystal (to the left of the original when facing the boss). This time you need to dodge 2 crystals. Repeat same thing and then the 3rd crystal.

The reason I do it in that order is after the last crystal you get knocked off. Run forward and grab the speed boost, then the defense sigil and damage boss. Grab gold ghosts as highest priority and kill the summoner. Damage boss with dots or whenever you aren't doing those other things, on the 3rd gold ghost the daedroth will spawn, so hopefully you have them all and can do damage to both at the same time while stunned. Grab the other 2 sigils throughout this part as well.

I know the first time I got to the final boss it took forever to kill him. I suddenly noticed that character's soul gems were greatly diminished...

Stages with timers (like stage 5 with the trolls and stage 7 with the venomcallers), the timer resets if you use wayshrine. So they always spawn at the same time. However if you use soul gem they may spawn earlier than you expect.

I have nowhere near the dps to pull that off. If I'm getting 25-28k single target I'm doing well.

Based on that video the boss has about 600k health when I dropped back down. I'd have to do 60k dps to kill him in 10 seconds.
