Witches Festival motif & recipe gifts

As I have 12 characters I saved up a truly enormous amount of rewards from the previous Festival so that I could give away presents to new players when the next Festival came along.

I've been finding new players and giving them complete sets but I still have more!

If you know anyone who is new and plays on PC/NA who you know would love a particular chapter, recipe or runebox (I have 7 of the hats left) message or use in-game mail to let me know and I'll send it to them (or you to give to them). Hopefully people will be able to complete their sets this way.

Every new player to whom I gave these New Life surprise gifts to spontaneously stated they'd someday pass along the favor to other new players - well, except the ones who only spoke Japanese. I don't know what they made of it but after struggling for a long time with the trading UI they seemed to enjoy the gifts from an odd stranger. Now I'll have room to save up rewards from the New Life Festival! :)

    #1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

    OK, here's my last attempt to give away Witches Festival items on this fine cold Sunday.

    It took me a lot, lot longer than I imagined to give away hundreds of items - motifs and recipes and runeboxes.


    I'm also surprised by how intriguing new players find getting 20 items gifted to them and a hearty Happy New Life Festival. I suppose at first you don't know anyone when you first start playing and the main social interaction is the toxic morons in zone chat hehe. I had to give some friend invites because they seemed like cool people.

    Thanks for the fun festival, ZOS. Dancing, throwing things at people (which I did every day before there were mudballs already, for a kind of embarrassing amount of time) and giving people gifts are some of my favorite things to do in-game.

    I eventually found that finding people wearing hunter green helps, and whispering them that I have gifts for them and then invite to trade. If they have cute @names or adorable outfits they seem to want weird motifs more. People with lots of xxNamexx gamer type names seem not to be able to figure out the trade interface for some reason so I skip them now.

    I would LOVE to have some of hats if you still have them. Was busy grinding that event on EU so didn't really got the time for NA aswell :/

    Mary, I mailed you the pumpkin and scarecrow masks to your @name, but the system didn't recognize it. I hope it makes it to you anyway.


    I also sent two masks to the person who contacted me via in-game mail.

    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    I have been giving away some free stuff from this festival - and lots of people seem to be surprised by the idea. Most of them ask "Is it really free?" several times before i manage to give them the object...

    Is there any way of filtering out the genuine newbies. Happy to give them gold or some crafted training gear

    I'd expect this from @SantieClaws but it's a nice attitude indeed
