So This Lag!!!

I don't know about everybody else but this has got to be the worse lag ever in this game makes me not even want to move my character when I get online!

the ammount of random lagspike everywhere is crazy.... hard to dodge stuff when a boss uses some ability and your ping jumps to 999+.................... then you dodge and still get hit by it + every single enemy in the room teleports in your face and instantly hit you..............

It's gotten better, but I wonder if it's due to people just giving up on it.

The silver lining is that they will have a ton of information going forward on how to fix some of these problems.

I've seen holidays on WoW suffer some bugs and sever issues too so we need to give ZOS some credit and allow them to fix things and realize that some of these problems were unforseen blessed even with testing.

I for one am enjoying this holiday event

If they have not fixed the LAG in 2.5 years, why do think they are going to fix it. It is poor coding and an even poorer game engine. I will not give them one once of credit for trying to fix this because they have not. If anything it have gotten much worse especially in Cyrodiil or Lagodiil. As soon as more than 20 or so players start fighting the FPS drops to single digits. So live with it or move on.

This lag is making me so much better at vMSA. Managed Two completions with extreme latency. In all honesty its extremely annoying i hope its fixed in tbere next patch on the 19th.

Damn I thought the new lag was from my little brother constantly downloading on his computer, I cant take back the beat down I gave him, I probably aint going say sorry either. I go from 220-250 to 500 - 999+ constantly the last few days.

It's gotten pretty bad everywhere, not just event areas. Spikes across the board are constant now. Haven't had it this bad ever personally. It's Cyrodiil bad.

What makes you think they'll use that information. The obvious issue is server load.. did a few get switched off?

No, no it's not. It's bad, yes.. But not the worst. That credit goes to the beta version of the game. Where everyone got stuck in the tutorial due to lag.

Why the heck can't people posting (and replying to) this sort of stuff at least give a clue as to which platform and server they're playing on? It would also help if they also stated whether they were using a wireless internet connection which is generally acknowledged as being totally unsuitable for reliable gaming.

I have had zero lag or other performance issues on the PC EU server since launch, albeit I neither PvP nor do competitive PvE. However, I am doing the New Life Festival event with all quest areas very crowded but with absolutely zero lag.

I keep getting lag spikes every few seconds or so of 400-999+ ping. It is to the point the game is unplayable. I hope this is fixed soon.

I've been having continuous lag spikes too. Very annoying when I go to heal someone and nothing happens - or I have to repeatedly hit a skill multiple times before it works.

Game was running great for me before that last round of maintenance. I don't know what they did - but I wish they would undo it.

My lag was very infrequent until the last maintenance and the start of the New Life Festival. For the last 2 days it has been atrocious and it only improved about 12 hours ago, presumably because there was hardly anyone on (PS4 NA). Strange that for a couple of hours nobody on my friends list was even playing, which is very unusual.

In Cyrodiil I got kicked off the server EVERY time I went into a fight at a resource. On every other character, in every location I went I was having 2 second or more delay in command responses and at one stage could not even pick up daily writs.

I have never seen it this laggy in the 15 months I have been playing on PS4. Haven't logged in today yet, dreading it.

Would be nice for ZOS to at least acknowledge that something is more broken than usual, but no, heads in the sand as usual.

You lucky, lucky, b@*&#%d, what I wouldn't give to be lag free. Please be grateful you are not currently experiencing what the rest of us are having to deal with

I think I have had at least 20 'unable to connect to server' game crashes in the last 2 days on various characters, in assorted locations (PS4 NA, wired internet, comfy armchair, weather fine, wife not so much). I have 8 characters and have only been able to do the full New Life daily quest list on 3 of them because of the lag and crashing.

Cyrodiil is worse than usual, guaranteed death everywhere I go due to lag followed by disconnects. This was in Blackwater with very low server populations. Always unable to log back into that character for 5-10 minutes after DC.

I'm on Xbox NA and it has gotten to the point where it's unplayable for me. And I'm never one to complain about lag, either...

PC NA server here. I'm having the worst lag & disconnects I have ever experienced with this game... even worse than prime time cyrodiil !@# I ping (from a DOS prompt) a local server & get a constant 17ms return, I ping elderscrollsonline.com & get a constant 187ms return... so I do not think it is my connection.

When I get in game my ping will be it's usual (for Australia) 280-300ms. As soon as I try to do anything it jumps up to between 1100-9000ms ping & becomes totally unplayable.

I don't even want to do any of the festival stuff... I just want to do dungeon dailies & Maelstrom Arena but neither are possible to play atm.

My lag has somehow fixed itself or maybe me adjusting my lua memory from 126 to 512 fixed it i dont know but my ping is 90 and below now.

I just came back to the game yesterday after a long break and haven't had any of these issues, not really at least. I have noticed extra lag in eastmarch and a couple other places, but it certainly isn't that bad.

Some people are not having this issue, but those who are having it, the game is unplayable. It is not my internet connection as i have rebooted all related devices ran multiple tests. I have also repaired the game, reinstalled the game. I have tried with addons and without. None of these have made the lag issue go away.
