Found myself a harvest bot in Bal Foyen today with very peculiar movement, unresponsive and checking empty node locations. Reported of course but they are back unfortunately.

There was a weird xp farming setup the other day. Three characters were all chasing each other and moving in sync and turning corners the exact same time in a roughly circular orbit and killing mudcrabs near a dolmen somewhere. Was really peculiar to watch and obviously the characters weren't being player run but botted. I don't know why anyone would do this....maybe just cos they can....how much xp could you get faming mudcrabs really?? Also don't see the point playing a game but not playing it yourself and autopiloting it but each to their own.

And this is why so many developers, put housing on in game currency, the vocal minority will go Ape shirt but you can pretty much kiss bot farming goodbye..you won't ever get rid of it completely but that would kill the next big gold buying scheme.

I think official support for eso viper bot was dropped a while ago. Something must have changedone though, I'm seeing them more frequently again.

I have also been seeing this occasionally and I screenshot them and use in-game /bug to report them then upload the screenshots to the ticket.

To add screenshots or other attachments go to the ESO help page at https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/ then click Additional Support Options on the right side of the page. You will likely need to go through the receiving an email and entering the access code. Once you reach this page then you can view all reports you have filed and upload those screenshots etc.

They have been back for awhile. I'm sure some will remember the guy who would stand in HueHue's Bane... At one node for hours, days even, at a time. Forget what his name was. No clue if he's still at it but I know I saw him doing it about a month before TamOne came out.

Maybe ZO$ Should do like Runescape did. Have a random monster come out of no where and if he kills you too many times in a row you get kicked and if you get kicked for it too many times your account get's temp banned and reviewed.

Xbox EU is just as bad.

Since the update every grind spot has at least 5 'players' running around making the exact same movements. They all have random letters for names and run the same build. I have heard of people using a usb adaptor that allows you to record controller inputs and play them back on a loop. I'm sure these are people using this setup as the movements are mechanical and if you run ahead of them and kill the groups in front they dont change anything to catch up (non responsive) they just keep doing the same rotation.

Groups are usually 2-3 sorcs running lightning form and wall of elements and a templar that runs around hitting repentance. Every spot has the same set up.

Been reporting them like crazy and I advise anyone else who sees them to do the same.

The people farming wolves are NOT botters... They are actual people getting paid to farm hours and hours of scraps that they later sell off for 12k/stack. The profit goes to ESO gold websites that uses that money to "trade" for real life money.

    These are just facts.

They are botting mostly leather scrap camps from what I have seen, and they are in about half of the maps listed in game. I've posted a few locations and screenshots of them in action on this thread (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/306005/botting-locations-pc-na) but they are still at it I am sure. I can't actually login atm to check since somethings wrong with my game since the last patch but i'm 99% certain they're still running loops single file killing bears harpies and skeevers everywhere..

I like the Chinese farmers, they invite you to a group and you get tons of stuff. Farming groups are easier to find than trials groups and that is the real crime tbh

The farmers aren't (technically) breaking the rules until the gold is getting sold for real money. Botters are breaking the rules the moment they step away from the keyboard.

You need to understand that botters are stolen accounts (mostly) so they don't give a rats breakfast if they are caught. As soon as they get banned another bot takes its place.

And this. Where there is MMORPG there will be cheats, hacks all that. Why? Because they can!

I've been learning a lot about this subculture of farmers, and I'm quite torn.

If you are in a group of 12 and you kill 1 wolf, all party members get to loot a leather. Total, it's 12 leathers, but you only need 1-2 people really actively killing everything. This is a way some of them farm. Is it exploiting? Technically, no.

To expedite the process, they sell the collected materials to average players for a super low price. They take the small fortune of gold and use that to sell for real money. Yea, that's wrong, but how are you going to catch them? They'll just make more accounts. Thanks to 1T, their characters are farming ready at level 1.

What kinda makes me unsure is what happens with the materials and how they get to our economy. Normal player who get in contact with the farmers take the raw material, refine it into thousands and thousands of wax and sell them for below market value. They make a small fortune. These are the people with millions and millions of gold that we come across on the daily. They're not exploiting, but they are corroborating with gold sellers. They're not doing anything wrong, but they are making an unnatural amount of in-game wealth with 10 times less effort than the average player. That bites me the wrong way. It makes me question my effort getting on once or twice a day to check my sales and make sure that I bring in a steady income.

That said, I don't care if some super jerk that knows nothing about the game has 120million gold over me. It just undervalues those who earn gold through more legitimate means?

I imagine that the people who are funding the farmers probably at some point or another feel like they are doing something sorta wrong (although not legally wrong)...
