It's busy now because there's likely hundreds if not thousands all going to the same place at the same time and doing the same quest.

It'll eventually quieten down once people do it for their daily and then get on with other activities before the next large input as per my previous post. Then, the only real noticeable times will be when people normally log in en mass which is during the start of the evening in prime time, and even then they can decide to wait it out and do the daily quest later on.

Remember, it's daily. Once you've done it once, or 12 times, that's it and you don't have to fart around Eastmarch for another 12-24 hours (depending on when you do it and how much you play).

Whoever okayed this event should be fired. Lag, latency and other issues and this guy says... put the event in one place and kill the server cuz it'll be fun! Really? Who's watching this happen and not saying it's a horrible idea?

Servers must've kicked into overdrive because my ping is staying at around 100 even with all these people. Wasn't that way for the first 30-45 minutes but now it's okay.

POOR, HORRIBLE, AWFUL, execution . . . . who tested this? Was there a test? Lag, lag, lag, people not able to perform at Alcaire Castle and Goat Inn.

Literally unplayable. Crash crash crash.

ZOS would it hurt you to plan these events with the idea that 1000+ people are going aftr the same 2 spawns all at the same time, have to speak to the same single NPC a million times etc?

Next time you do these events, please spread out the NPCs over several zones, or make them instanced to the player, or anything really, other than having 1000+ people stuck in the same small patch of zone, thus making the game unplayable, crashable and generally souring the event for many of us ..

I've just logged into Eastmarch adjacent to the quest event on the PC EU server without any trouble, loading time was normal. There were masses of players there but I ran around ok, no performance hit at all, and picked up the quest and xp gain. Used the wayshrine to Davon's Watch to continue the quest ok at the second attempt, the first taking me to the character screen (no delay logging back in tho'). Davon's Watch was also very crowded but with no performance hit. Other players stayed black for longer than usual but there was no lag.

However, I do agree that it would have been sensible to have had more than one location for this quest hub.

Once the first slew of people, i.e. now, have done the quests then the next group in about 5 hours will cause similar problems, then again 5 hours after that with a final hit 3 hours later before it'll balance itself out and the ping and volume of people will become more reasonable.

Must be intentional design in order to stress test the servers. Why else would we need to return to her 9 times and she is placed in an open world zone where everyone can join in?

I'm hoping it calms down but the the quest is literally designed so you MUST go to this location. [Even if you just want the XP boost, the mead is next to Breda? ]

I feel like this is ZOS payback to anyone who put up one or those *the game is dead!* threads. Lol Touche'.
