Homestead Decorating is very in-depth!! (ESO Special Holiday Live) How will YOU decorate your house?

So, watching the Homestead live stream, I was amazed at how in-depth it was! Way more customising than I thought there would be!
We wanted the elk, they placed it and gave it a red nose! Sorry, lost the screenshot for that!
Someone mentioned a throne, we got one! We really wanted a mudcrab on the throne, we got that too!

Pretty much everything we asked for was done. Right down the the star fish on the tree!

Yes, even ceiling sweetrolls...
Yes there are faction banners, and elder scrolls and skyshards that all light up!



You can have floating objects too. The red thing they used for the elk's nose was an example.

So, how will you decorate your house now that there's nearly limitless possibilities?

Personally, I am going to have skyshards and glowing crystals decorating my garden. I will have all my pets and mounts in the house, because why not?
I will definitely have a treasure room and place piles of gold, statues and other trinkets inside!
Sweetrolls are a must, might even put one on the ceiling somewhere in honour of the stream
Will definitely have lots of tasty looking food on a long table, right near the fire.

It is not that surprising. The more they let you customize in a house the more they can sell to you. Or load up in the crown crates. Gonna need lots of crap the hide the good stuff behind.

On the good side now that we have monster trophy displays can i stop wearing this crap on my head and get a decent helm?

Oh Well sorry to hear that. For me this showed it was more in depth, the video did show off items sure, but this was proof of the ease of placing things, also showing the rotations, floating objects, placing objects on top of one another, multiple pets in one room, etc. I know, I wished to see the UI too, but this is what we got, and I'm happy with it, like they said, it was something new to try

While I would have loved to see the UI I am pretty excited for housing in general! So many ideas.

I have ideas, but I am waiting on more information before I get too excited. But I am pretty sure I will not be putting a deer head inside my fireplace. That was pretty funny though.

It was indeed Everyone was asking for it, and then bang, it was there, but not quite where we were expecting!

I'll probably focus on things that my character would have picked up during her travels or that would appeal to her aesthetically or functionally. It might be a bit of a mish-mash, but I'll also try to avoid turning it into a room full of random junk.

Until I get the patch I don't know for sure how it will work, but as far as I know, I would love to have all my pets and mounts "playing" in the garden, which will be full of flowers and nice stuff xD Inside the house, I will definately get the AD banners.

They flat out stated in the stream that the UI was not ready to be shown off. So at this point I can only assume youre looking for something to complain about. And had they actually shown the UI in its current state youd be complaining about that as well.

Where the hell in the video a week ago was Elder Scrolls decorations, the Ruby Throne, the Daedric light fixtures, that giant table, that harp, those crystals, a starfish, a Kyne shrine, faction banners, and a Daedroth's head on a stick? They definitely showed things that weren't in the video, and it definitely hints toward the possibilities we have. If anything, I'm more excited now.

@Rouven That's a very good question. I don't believe it will be possible though. I have a feeling there will be a limit of creatures being placed, and multiples won't be a thing. Of course I don't know for sure.

Oh sure we saw items not in the initial video but as I wrote in this thread before and exactly as they did say in the interviews prior. There are 2,000 items for use in housing many which come from existing items already in the game.

Thrones, skyshards, elder scrolls, tables, pets, trees, banners, sweet rolls, lamps, etc literally all of the things shown are already in the game.

While it may have been good for you to see items used in housing that have been used elsewhere, the old data mine thread prior to housing already pulled most of this out

So as such, I as well as many vocal others didn't see anything new literally anything

I have a question about the live stream, and I think this is a good place to raise it.

We saw the deer mount that they put in the fireplace. This is the elk mount that is being released later this month, right?

If yes, then what was that crocodile head they put in the fireplace? A future mount? A monster helm?

I believe what they placed in the fire was actually a decoration. I think it was an actual mounted head of a deer. They later placed the elk mount, which was obviously alive and moving in the corner.
The daedroth head on a pike was a decoration I believe, perhaps given from an achievement.
