VPN software causing disconnects?

isailandshootub17_ESO
Greetings,

I've recently begun to use a VPN software for the many benefits it provides (especially protecting my identity from advertisers). However, I find that while it is activated, I am disconnected to the login screen about every 10-30 minutes. Turning if off after failing to connect and then connect again causes a message which reads "your account is already logged in".

Is this something inherent to the VPN software itself, or is the game "unhappy" that I am using VPN software to protect my identity?

Essentially, I would like to run my VPN (I am often checking out guides and ESO related content via the web while I am playing) while I keep the game up.

Anyone else experience something similar? The VPN software is TunnelBear, btw.

Thanks,
John

Not really i have been using Avast Secure Line for 2 years now, because without VPN Im unable to play, (Something my ISP do about online games, streaming content and torrents)

This week My VPN was a little laggy but not being disconected. Im no telling you that this is the best VPN, im considering to use another one, but meanwhile it works to me.

Remember what a VPN does. Make sure that your exit point isn't out of spec. The game doesn't give two shakes about privacy, it's just trying to get data from the client input. If that's slowed or there is data loss because a multilayered network needs repeatable transfers, then you'll lose connection.

Just to complete my previous message i used Battleping VPN for one week with lower ping than Avast Secure Line. and no disconnects issues.

Another thing to consider is that ESO does know when you're not coming your "normal" IP address range. I usually do not play games under a VPN, but I use one for surfing the web. I accidently forgot to turn the VPN off and ESO said I attempted to log in from an unknown IP.

That used to happen some months ago, but right now im able to connect from different US places (Miami, NY, Seattle, Wahington, etc) with different IPs with no problem at all.

When i turn off my VPN, im am able to connect from outside US with no issues as it used to happen before, but then my own ISP reduce my bandwithd making the game unplayable.
