Proc sets op?

  • AOE = no skill
  • Proc sets = no skill
  • Spamming talons = no skill (Speaking of which... got rid of bombard by nerfing it to crap... so why does Talons spamming still exist? oh... that's because Mag DK's are weak and not viable as 1vX... but when the day does come that their damage is increased... PLEASE... PLEASE... for the LOVE of GAWD... put rooting on a friggen timer for crying out loud!!!)

Imagine this game if there was no AOE, no proc sets, and no constant CC. Of course, you'd have to balance a lot of things and probably increase single target damage for some classes.

Seriously... when you fight a so called skilled group... they don't hit you with single target damage for the most part... it is DK spamming talons... and non stop AOE damage... throw in a mix of Eye of the Storm and GG.

You want to talk about skills to pay the bills? Stop using AOE!

But then again, I do understand the reasoning for AOE... it's because when you have so many people choked up in an area of the map... it's the only thing that is guaranteed to hit... But wait... if there was no AOE damage causing lag... perhaps single target damage would be viable?

Oh... let's continue this a little further... proc damage is the only viable form of damage (when confronted with zergs) for those who choose to focus on single target play style... namely Stamina users.

Sadly... the realization is that if this game was single target damage only... we'd probably lose half the PvP player population. And, I am not sure what you would need to do with healing... I'd say you could probably keep those OP AOE heals intact.

AoE attacks are fine. EoTS is broken. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

eots is not broken. stop with the misinformation. just cause you see a skill on your death recap doesnt make it op or broken. go do some testing before you say something is broken or op. what is op is proc sets. there are people running 6-7k weapon power and 30k stamina. wanna talk about op? they get the from proc sets. do some research before you just assume the issue is x when its really y.

aoe doesnt cause lag, zergs cause lags. lag you suffer in pvp isnt coming cause someone is using aoe. it is coming because you have 100s of people using abilities. and i would say animation cancelling is probably a factor as well. because the lag is from the game having to track all the skills being used, the more players, the more skills being used, and more skills being animation cancelled to do more skills more often, cause the server to spend more time trying to track them all = lag.

@AzuraKin Talking none sense again i see.

1:EotS is overperforming by a large margin. I can lay down the facts but there are mulitple threads already full of them. Your senseless actions to defend this ultimate are present there aswell which i find amusing.

Stating proc sets are broken (which is true) doesnt change the fact that EotS is among the issues we are facing in cryodill currently.

Also your logic makes no sense. So your saying when camo hunter was legitimately broken... just because it is in your death recap does not mean it is broken? Smh.

2: AoE's do create more lag. More effects, more snergys, more data that hits the server. Thats why alpha/beta players could play with 1000's of people in 1 campaign. Yes more players do create more lag but AoE's hit the server a lot harder. This is why coordinated groups actually harm the server just as much as zergs. They all are spamming aoe heals, snergys, ultimates, etc.

AoE's and fancy effects are why are campaign populations keeps getting smaller and smaller (im talking about maximum capacitiy).

Rohaus is clearly referring to aoe spamming zerg blobs. Nobody dies in 1v1 to sap essence spam.

At this point I don't think anything will drive off anymore population . The same people that still threaten to leave any day over lag , proc sets . Storms , imbalance , crown crates , cheat engine , 1 shot gankers , and RNG are still here .

You'd probably need a swat team with concussion grenades to remove them from the server . The ones that were gonna leave left awhile ago lol ...

Most people will adapt and won't leave the PvP even if they changed it to single target only. I think the majority of the PvP'ers are the core PvP'ers who been here since the beginning and a few new who finally decided to try it out.

I must admit, I do hate the proc sets but I am getting used to them. I don't use them myself and I wish they where removed but I won't let my PvP fun be spoiled by them.
